    White Wine Cake Recipe Ingredients
    1 box yellow cake mix
    1 small box vanilla pudding (no bake Jello)
    ¼ cup white sugar
    ¼ cup brown sugar
    ¾ cup water
    ¾ cup olive oil
    ½ cup white wine
    2 teaspoons cinnamon
    4 eggs
    Sugar Syrup
    ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
    1 cup white sugar
    ¼ cup white wine
    White Wine Cake Recipe Directions or how to make cake with wine 🥂
    This crack cake recipe with wine doubles up the white wine, adding it to both the batter and to the sugar syrup that gets poured over the top. It’s a cake mix cake recipe with a wine syrup glaze that sends it over the top, making it a wonderful choice for brunches, bridal showers and perfect for potluck recipes. You can include this one in your award winning cake recipes file!
    To start, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour the bundt pan and set aside.
    In a mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, vanilla pudding, ¼ cup white sugar, ¼ cup brown sugar, cinnamon, water, olive oil and ½ cup of white wine. Blend on medium low speed for 30 seconds to incorporate all of the ingredients, stopping to scrape the bowl as necessary. Then beat on medium high for 2 minutes.
    Pour the cake batter into the prepared bundt pan, tapping the pan on the counter to release any air bubbles. Bake in the preheated oven for 50 - 60 minutes. Test for doneness using a long skewer. When the skewer comes out clean, remove the cake from the oven.
    How to make White Wine Cake Recipe - the wine sugar syrup 🥂
    While the cake is cooking, it’s time to prepare the wine sugar syrup. Melt ½ cup of unsalted butter over medium heat, stir in 1 cup of sugar and ¼ cup of white wine. Cook gently, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Let cool slightly, then pour over the cake.
    Finishing the Crack Cake Recipe with White Wine 🥂
    Pour the warm wine syrup over the cake while it is still hot, which will help it more easily absorb the delicious syrup. Let the cake cool for about 30 minutes, then top with a serving platter and flip the bundt pan over. Tap on the pan to help release the cake, and gently remove the pan. Top the cake by sprinkling on powdered sugar, and serve with fresh berries, whipped cream or your favorite ice cream.
    Crack Cake Recipe Without Wine
    Most of the wine in this recipe is cooked off during the baking or as the syrup is prepared, leaving a delicate, floral taste. For a totally non alcoholic version of this cake, orange juice or white grape juice can be used instead of the wine.
    Thank you so much for watching and I’ll see you in the next video!

      Hi NicoleSenaEvans, that is a great question! I haven't tried it with red wine... I think it will have a totally different flavor profile - the white wine gives this cake a light, floral flavor - but if you enjoy red wine, it may work. If you try it, let us know!

    What brand of white wine did u use ? Or do u prefer

    • @CookingUpLove
      @CookingUpLove  2 года назад

      Hi Whitley Arrington, I used a chardonnay for this. For the recipe I used a little bottle of Sutter Home that I keep on hand for cooking when I'm not opening a full bottle. I think most white wines or dessert wine would be delicious. Enjoy!

    What do you think about using ginger ale instead of wine? Alcohol isn’t sold in grocery stores where I live and the wine store is on the opposite end of town 😩

    • @CookingUpLove
      @CookingUpLove  4 года назад

      Hi I'm Angie, yes I think you could use ginger ale to make the syrup, it will have a different flavor, but the effect will be similar. Thank you for watching ❤️

    It says 'Wine' in the title, why the heck would anyone come here looking for an alcohol FREE batter? That, that just makes no sense!

    • @CookingUpLove
      @CookingUpLove  5 лет назад

      Thank you for the comment! We've had a number of friends ask if there were a replacement for the wine because they planned to serve the cake during parties with kids & thought some parents may prefer an alcohol free version. Almost all the wine does cook off, leaving an amazing flavor 😊 Thanks for watching & if you make it, let me know what you think!

    Forget the water. Water has no flavor. Use milk or heavy whipping cream instead
