Traynor vs Fender - YCV80 vs Super Champ X2

I bought a malfunctioning Traynor YCV80. Repaired the standby circuit and then did a shoot out between the Traynor YCV80 and a Fender Super Champ X2.

I watched the whole video this time . Question : Wasn't the fender bass man amp the very amp that Eddie VanHalen played thru in his early years ?

I think Eddie started with a 67 or 68 Marshall Plexiglass Superlead. Which is a very close derivative of the Bassman.
I don’t really know his amp history before they started recording VH Albums.
