I like that Trey learned their tunes instead of just doing covers.
I would take a guess that Trey might be fluent with some of their songs like Arcadia. He did sing a verse, and he does love to listen to new up & coming bands. I would guess that he has been listening to them for a lil bit maybe. Trey is first and foremost (his own words) a lover of music.
Also Trey's writing partner and lyricist Tom Marshall is a big fan of Goose

@@iFlow420 They def rehearsed hungersite, Arcadia, and encore cover. Trey staying out there after arcadia was kinda just an in-the-moment thing. You could tell he wasn't as familiar with the rest of the songs but it doesn't really matter when you're at his level, just get to the jam and watch the magic happen.
Really cool of trey for doing this I’m sure it meant the world to these guys to have him up there

I've only seen & been following GOOSE online. They really have grafted & done the mileage re; touring & maturing in the good old-fashioned way. The venues & audiences are really growing. Wishing them all the success.

That's exactly what it is. It's his endorsement, obviously. Trey said in a recent interview (where the were playing phish songs backward) and he said we (Phish) only have a couple years left.
trey got into his groove really well at this point, had some natural jitters with those first two tracks but overall still sooooooo so fucking great

How has lazylightning not monetized his channel. People watch for long periods whole sets jams etc. Each video gets lots of likes and interaction in the comments section. Lazylightning has always been a huge influence and archive of footage. Idk with all the work he puts into this I’d think he should make a few dollars to pay for gas etc.

I want to like them so bad, went and saw them 2 nights in Nashville. Was as boring as this jam. Improv never develops. They just sit in a groove for 15 mins then peak
Many of us have tried and failed, you’re not alone. They’re trying way too hard for conventional corp success, imo, and appear to be getting what they wished for. Just no soul, in lyrics or music, is the problem, and I don’t think it’s coming anytime soon. Folks into Autotune, playing perfectly slick on the click, and zero risk taking will love these guys

I like the Goose songwriting, but I lose interest in the Goose jams. They just don’t evolve like the Dead or Phish.
I’m not sure what Trey sees in these guys. Not trying to be a troll, but there’s no soul in any of this- ‘jam’ noodling at it’s absolute worst, imho. And I’m a huge dead and phish fan for the record
so now what happens to all the phish Phans who hate on goose now that Trey sat in ?
