So on and so forth. Good luck!
As a fresh mechanical engineering graduate interested in SCM, what is your advice to begin a career? What are the beginner level jobs? How should I start learning the mentioned softwares and should I learn all of them?
Hi JV, thanks for watching the video and posting the question. As you might have learnt from the video, SCM is a huge topic that involves multiple SAP software applications and business processes. You will need to pick one area first and concentrate on getting better in that particular space. For example, you can choose an area like material management, sales and distrubution, EWM or IBP. These are the areas where i have seen a lot of demand for in India. So choose one in which ever you are most interested in and start learning. Initially, don't spend too much money on courses. Start by learning from free resources or cheap resources like OpenSAP, RUclips and Udemy. Once you have completed all the freely available resources, I would suggest you to look into SAP's training and certification shop (training.sap.com/search?q=supply+chain+&filters%5Bcountry%5D%5BIndia%5D=on). SAP certification courses can be expensive so you will need to learn the basics as much as you can before jumping into the certification courses. Also, on the side, look for an internship with companies in the SCM area you are learning. This way, you can gain practical experience which will help you secure a full time job once you complete your certification and internship. Hope this helps. I wish you all the best.

Hi Aakash, Thank you for your comment. As you may know, supply chain management is a vast area covering multiple topics like supply chain planning, logistics, manufacturing, R&D, Quality Management, Procurement, Asset management and many more. My recommendation would be to choose any one particular area so that you can specialise in that one. You have mentioned that you are learning six sigma which is a methodology that is widely used in the manufacturing and quality management areas. So if you are interested in quality management, take a look at the courses offered by SAP in that area. Hi Rittick, Congratulations on your new job. SAP APO is an important component of SCM and has got a bright future. Please do some courses on SAP IBP and S4HANA production planning & detailed scheduling. These two will replace APO going forward after 2025.

Currently I am persuing MBA in logistics and supply chain management, which module should i choose in SAP
Hi, thank you for your question. I would suggest you start with SAP S/4HANA Logistics. Since you are purusing the same in your MBA, it might be easy for you to relate to the concepts. Then you can look at modules/products like EWM, TM and IBP.
Good luck with your MBA.

No
Hi...I'm planning to do masters in logistics and SCM,can yu suggest me a SAP module for this current trend... Moreover,I'm from mechanical engineering background in My UG.
Hi, thanks for your question. Demand for SCM has been increasing in general due to increased e-commerce activity. I would suggest you to start with S/4HANA logistics. Then try to learn Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and Transportation Management (TM). All the best.
Hello Sir, Thanks for the useful video , Whats the software we should buy to Train Students on SAP-SCM
Hi, thank you for your comment. It would depend on what part of SCM you are teaching your students. If it is about Procurement, then you should look into SAP Ariba. If it is about planning then SAP Integrated Business Planning. If it is about transport management then SAP TM or SAP EWM, so on and so forth.
Hello!
I’ve pursued my bachelors recently and could you please suggest me which sap module will be great for to make good career in supply chain management as I’m unable to do mba in same because of some issues so kindly reply me
Hi, I would say it depends on your interest. SAP SCM is a huge topic and there are so many modules and sub modules involved. For example, if you are interested in the planning side of things, then SAP IBP (Integrated Business Planning) would be a good product to learn. If you are interested in the transport side of things, then you may want to look at SAP TM (Transport Management) and EWM (Extended Warehouse Management). So on and so forth.
Have a look at this SAP Certification Shop. They have provided information on what is taught under each course. Probably that will give you an idea of what you are interested in. Choose that course and give it a go. training.sap.com/content/sap-logistic-supply-chain
All the best.
@@erpiseasy How about SAP APO for demand planning?
Hey i am thinking of pursuing a career in supply chain management
Currently i am pursuing my pg diploma in canada its a hybrid course
And i am covering all the prerequisites for supply chain like learning excel, lean six sigma etc
Do you mind, if i ask you what other things i should do for example any software, course etc
Currently i am doing this 18hrs course in linkedin learning too which is about fundamentals of SCM
You can find official SAP courses in this link training.sap.com/content/sap-logistic-supply-chain
SAP is used widely in the supply chain management industry. So take a look at the courses offered by SAP in that space and puruse the one which you are most interested in. :)
Good luck.

Is it okay to go for SAP courses directly or should I first learn it from free sources that are available on internet or through udemy???
Hi, I would suggest to start with free resources that are available on the internet. Once you are comfortable with the basics, you can then do SAP official certifications that is available on their website. Good luck

What is SAP ECM ?
Hi My name is Moshe. I completed Mechanical engineering. I learnt German upto B2 level. Currently I am working as a German language expert. I am planning to learn one SAP Module especially SAP SCM. I would like learn one SAP Module, which is huge demand in Germany. I am planning to move Germany in 2 years, once I have 2 years experience in India then I am planning to Germany. Could you please suggest one SAP Module, which is in demand in Germany. I am not interested to learn programming modules.
Hi, The demand for roles in a particular country varies from time to time. So, it is hard to point out just one module which is in demand in Germany at the moment. I would suggest you to take a look at the job portals for the type of roles that are in demand in Germany. Then go through the agenda of courses in SAP training and certification shop to get an idea of what course you may want to do. training.sap.com/certification/
All the best.
Pls use low bgm
Thanks for your comment. Sure. Actually I stopped using bgm in my other videos :)
