    Hello
    About Outbound processes, i think invoicing will do before packing right?
    because step invoicing is print AWB, provide infomations to Packer to packing an order

    • @SupplyChainWay
      @SupplyChainWay  2 года назад

      Hello Hau, You are right, many organizations do this way... but the best way of doing this is: Prepare the handling unit (HU) if there is consolidation and multiple layer of packing involved. But the catch here is, as you do this, scanning happens in parallel and all the products gets into HU label. Once this relationship is set, during invoicing all that is performed is at HU level. I trust that clarifies. Please do let me know if you have a follow up question.

    What is the best software to systemise the the warehouse system my major work is food sypply

    • @SupplyChainWay
      @SupplyChainWay  7 месяцев назад

      Hi, unfortunately, there is nothing called as the best software. What do you need to look towards is identifying the best software which suits your business the best. The reason is every software has its pros and cons. I would recommend you start with writing your functional requirement, definitions which is nothing but the functionalities which would make you successful and then go to the market and find out the software which best suits that. All the best

    Hi Sir I have one que in inbound process after sorting we do the tagging so tagging means assigning some location and then put the product to that Location which is called as putaway process.

    • @SupplyChainWay
      @SupplyChainWay  2 года назад

      Yes, Rupali. Tagging also include labeling of the product with a putaway tag if required. Some organizations would use a putaway list to putaway the prodcuts.

    Let's take it that I shipment came in and the receiving team identified that the goods are not up to the required number. What would they do to correct that mistake?

    • @SupplyChainWay
      @SupplyChainWay  2 года назад

      Hello Delo. Any deviation from the purchase order identified during inward or receipt process is called inward exception. The exception could be missing products or damaged product or even wrong products. Depending on the contract with the supplier the exceptions are handled in a different way. But I would explain a standard process. Most cases the vehicle is not going to wait until the complete quality check process is completed and hence once an exception is identified during the invert quality check, the exception would be notified to the supplier. And during the receipt process that exception worth of quantities is pushed to an exception location in the system. The rest of the goods stocks would be taken into the saleable locations. The quantity which is available in exception would be closed as per the terms with the supplier and in most cases replacement products would be received or a credit note would be processed to close the purchase order.
