The movie switched around bits and pieces of the score in editing it would seem. The part starting at 2:23 ("Alright, everyone get in crash position") is looped a few times.
There's a lot of great composers, and im not gonna suggest Airplane! has the best sound track ever... but hot damn, this is SO over the top - much like the film - it turns from funny, to stupid, to so stupid it's funny, back to being great again.
The score from 2:23 to 2:58 lasted much longer in the actual movie. Not sure why they cut it down so much. You can hear Elmer Bernstein's score from The Ten Commandments during that part. Anyway, perhaps this movie was God tapping Spielberg on the shoulder in 1980, asking him if this was the comedy he was trying to make the year before. "Now, let me resume in helping you in your career once again so that people may know that it's me as you show people what to do with the television in 1982."
The part of the score from 2:23 to 2:58 lasted 35 seconds on this soundtrack page, but lasted 2 minutes and 11 seconds during the movie. I guess some joker in control of this page must have realized what I had noticed about Elmer Bernstein's similar score to what he had composed for The Ten Commandments when he (or she) decided to publish this RUclips page three years ago...apparently.
'No... that's just what they'll be expecting us to do...'
" I want the kids in bed by 9:00. I want the dog fed, the yard watered, and the gate locked. And get a note to the milkman.
No more cheese!"
FINALLY FOUND IT!!
If I only got here three weeks ago I could have said it first and you would be replying to me
The music they played during my first solo flight.
