I completely agree... Many comedians are funny doing their routines, but when they get on a podcast, they aren't as funny (or, seem like they are always trying too hard). Dave is naturally funny on everything.

I think the idea of saying its a coping mechanism is a cope ...in the sense that one says that because its too far beyond the pale for ones more delicate sensibilities, so they label it as such to distance themselves admitting its resonance. Its less coping and more an organically derived honest, visceral, fuller perspective, and not actually a 'mechanism' at all.
Steven basically left The Blaze without having a place to go too. He needs someone to pay him as RUclips and the rest have effectively demonitized him.
I wish Dave and Gerald would make a spin-off called No BS. I truly appreciate Dave sharing his back story. He is such a good example of the fact that even if you take "the hard road", you can turn it around and still be very successful.

I started following him because I loved his sketches. Just watch when him and Landau are riffing togetger on Mug Club. Landau is just way better at that kind of comedy.

No, he needs to stay with Crowder! I like the show even more with Dave for sure... but when one of them are away, the show isn't as great tbh. Together, the humour is wicked, and Dave seems to operate better when not in the Crowder seat. Great guy
Dave's matter of fact, deadpan / dry delivery is part of what makes his dark humor so hilarious and compelling. It's why him and hyper active / super caffinated Stephen Crowder were so perfect together.

My fave show yet! My mom attempted suicide when I was 15 with mult home issues - drugs and alcohol at 12- 9 yrs sober and in my own life I use comedy to deal with my own life and past life-this is such a real interview ❤❤
My step dad was an agent orange vet. Thankful for the guys who went before him because dad did get some extra medical help and someone who could pull together al of his issues. A hard life makes for great humor. My kids hate it when i say that but i remind them at least I am still here to say it so laugh at my dam jokes :). Thanks Mr Landeau
It's really sad to me people are saying "Crowder has fallen off the map" as if he's been gone for a long time. He takes a monthish long break every year. It's been what 2 months and hes back in 7 days. It's not "falling off" it was taking a moment to build something new. Crowder will be back and I am hoping better than ever. He has an extremely loyal fan base.

My favorite part was when his dad knocked him out and when he woke up, the police officer said, he’s awake in case you want to hit him again! I love this because back then the entire community was involved in raising kids and this taught children to respect and behave. Kids today respect no one, not their parents or the law!

Privileged to see Dave last spring in a very small town in Minnesota. Awesome show. Brought my Mug Club mug that I had to glue together and he autographed it. Down to earth and took the time to have a good conversation with me.
The minute the internet came out, is when things started to change for the worse. When you can call somebody every name in the book without facing them face-to-face that's where the issues started.
Dave is probably the most casually, effortlessly funny person I can think of. His one-off comments and jokes just come out like breathing for him.

I saw Dave at a live Crowder event. He killed it. Not to knock Crowder, but he went on after Dave and no one could follow that great of a performance.
