Incredible checkmate! I thoroughly enjoyed your Lichess stream and your guest. It was quite informative on the crypto scene, as many wonder. I learned much. Thank you for all you do to enhance our vast knowledge. 😀
The position was so bad for black that there was more than one line to check mate. If instead of playing both knighs Nd5+, you just play Qa7+, then after the king goes to c8, you play Na4 and there is no way to avoid mate with Nb6+, you can delay moving the rook on d8 to give room for the king, but after Re8(or anywhere), we have the forced: Nb6+ Kd8, Qb8+ Bc8, Qc8#
@@SB-ex2px I mean, only computers do that kkkk, why a human would do that to delay checkmate, if it avoids it at the cost of massive material losses it would be another thing
Checkmate like that with a queen and knight is extremely satisfying! I have reached similar ones in online blitz a few times while being down an exchange! My opponents have been pushing and attacking with their material advantage and suddenly I have been able to land in a check with my queen or knight and a few moves later it has been a checkmate with a knight and queen in the corner! Although I haven't gotten any congratulations sadly but more like claims that I cheated in some way :D I'm a 1800-1900 in blitz.
There is an another checkmate with knight: after Qa6+, Kb7, instead of Nd5+, etc, like in the video, we can play Qa7+, Kc8, Qa8+, Kc7, Nd5+(doesn't matter with witch knight), cxd5, Nd5#. It is maybe even more beautiful, because it is a royal fork checkmate!

With the hint that the first move is check, then the first move is obviously 1. Q-R6 ch. With 1. ----- K-N8 (forced) then 2. R-N1 ch suggests itself . Rather easy after that broad hint (at least for me),
