    Im currently in a 28 day treatment in Minnesota at hazelden Betty Ford for opiate addiction that i have from a hockey injury when I was a young man. Im now 44 years old and have in the last few years have been using fentanyl. Im from Montana. The dirty 30's are everywhere.. its the devil drug. Im embarrassed to admit that but I want people to know how real this shit is and its even in small town USA... im looking forward to my sobriety. Been clean a little over 2 weeks. Getting off this shit was hell and I literally wanted to die. I left it at God's feet and went cold turkey being that they have a medical staff here. Inform your family and especially your children this shit is dangerous and deadly and it will hook you quick. I have lost family members from this shit...

    Something is wrong with mainstream media when a retired Navy SEAL and former CIA operative, who became a firearms instructor and RUclips podcaster, is putting out better interviews and content than even National Geographic, Discovery, and all other news channels. Keep it up, Shawn! The world needs this now more than ever.

      @Luis Chaparro it absolutely has purpose! The information you shared is top notch, and I do know first hand that the Imported fentanyl is rampant in the streets all around the country. I have seen the transition from heroin, to fentanyl laced heroin, to straight fentanyl and even batches of carfentanyl that smoked a lot of people immediately.
      If we didn't have narcan so readily available, the death count by overdose would be well over triple the amount per year.
      Unfortunately, addicts already know the risks involved, and so old habits die hard. Literally.
      But if we can reach the masses to steer kids, and young adults clear before it's too late...we need to do that! Opiates of any sort are no joke at all. It all starts with that one pill, and if you're not informed you will get lost in it.
      I've been there, done that. Pre 2011 military used to hand painkillers out like candy. Even after I ets'd I was on painkillers. One day they shut the opiate painkillers down like flipping a switch. I turned to the street. In short..... It was a long, painful road to get sober many years later. I lost a lot, learned a lot, and unfortunately A lot of people around me died.
      Sorry man, got long winded there. 6 years clean though, and I'm not ashamed to say I'm still an addict and Always will be. But clean and grateful!
      You're definitely one of my favorites on the Shawn Ryan Show. Glad to see you on again!

    Shawn, no bullshit you’re SERIOUSLY one of, if not THE BEST interviewer that’s currently out their right now!!!! All of the people you bring on your show to interview tell their life stories raw and uncut!! And you ALWAYS make it all about THEM! That’s what I like most about you! Even with all of your personal experience with the teams or contracting overseas with the CIA. You don’t gloat or take over the interview with a bunch of stories about what YOU have done, or try to compare stories. You let the interview flow naturally and I think that’s what at makes it PERFECT!! You know when to interject and it’s always at the perfect time and keeps it going! You Sir, need to be on a major network with an even bigger platform. I feel like the vast majority of Americans can relate to you, respect the HELL out of you and understand where you’re coming from. You’re putting information out there that NONE of the major media networks have put out!! As a Law Enforcement Officer myself, I learned quite a bit after listening to this. Information I had not heard of and will absolutely be useful down the road. I always walk away after watching your interviews having learned something new. And you continue to out do yourself with each new interview! I’m looking forward to the next one!! Keep up the good work!! @vigilanceElite.

    The 1st generation American immigrant talk really hit home with me. The 1st love of my life was a 1st generation American. Parents immigrated from Mexico just prior to her birth. They created a business that became very successful. Their daughter took over that business and is now greatly successful. She started working at job sites when we were dating. She told me about the struggles of being a woman on those sites. Those memories of listening to her parents story always struck me as the epitome of the American dream. I was always truly in awe of them. Currently, one of my coworkers is a 1st generation American and is obsessed with TIk Tok and social media in general. He is one of the laziest people I have ever worked with. Yet is constantly telling me how he hasn't been promoted because he is Mexican. I salute and will admire the real ones. Any individual that wants better, works harder, even if the outcome isn't the same. I am a co worker to that guy because of covid. Yet my 1st love and her family are still prospering.

    Shawn first off thank you, thank you for giving you’re everything to defend those around the world who were unable to defend themselves. Thank you for bringing us the real raw truth. Thank you for the way in which you conduct you’re self on the show, so often when people talk about addiction they take the cheap way out and show the crazy cracked out homeless person screaming at no one in the street half naked, this may be a great way to entertain people but it in no way is indicative of the average American who has a job a family a home friends bills a normal life but also happens to be addicted I have been an addict for 26 years and you would never know I have a job a Harley a wife a house friends but I also have a ton of pain, pain from being abused as a kid hiding that pain with drugs which only brings more pain which I try to hide with more drugs and it just keeps going. I put myself through the ringer way more then anyone else could. People’s comments and harsh words do nothing but tear down people who are already struggling. And you don’t do that you tell the story you keep it real and raw and you don’t stack people and talk shit about what people are going through thank you my man

    This channel is something different. It's very real, and intense. These interviews make my palms sweat, and my mouth dry like I am getting ready for a fight. It is amazing to me that such things can be experienced from watching a video. I watch them all, Shawn, and I have been for a while. I never comment, because my opinions are just that, but I think you are doing a great thing for humanity. Many years from now others will learn from this channel, and gain knowledge about our human behavior, and out psychological makeup. This man you are interviewing. I just wonder about his safety, and if he is concerned that sooner or later one of his contacts finds some small reason not to trust him, and then what? It wasn’t until the show Ozark that even mentioned cartel trusting anyone. So, to hear him talk about cartel trusting him to talk to you about them is fascinating! Great show Shawn. Very informative. As a first responder for nearly 30 years I can tell you that we had very few drug over doses in Memphis, TN in the 90's compared to what was happening towards the end of my career. I know in just one month just before I retired we used a case of Narcan, 3 times on the same girl who OD'd 3 times that month. We noticed that it would come in waves. Some months we were really busy with over doses, then we would have a lull for maybe a month or two then it would ramp up again and we could tell there was a new batch in town. Keep up the great work.

    Anyone remember when m30's were just 30mg of oxycodone? As a recovering addict I sure as hell do. People are absolutely insane F'ing with fentanyl, I was still using when it was first being mixed into regular dope bags with the heroin and I would OD constantly. Its actually what led me to quit so dramatically. Also your saying they are making something stronger than fentanyl? My question would be why? Anything stronger will just kill any customers that use it, unless they just want to create a damn bio-weapon to kill anyone who touches it. Theres really no other reason. Great show guys.

    • @strongman914
      @strongman914 2 года назад +1

      @@mr.zesozadfrack7790 I recently quit fentanyl. 2-3 years ago when I first started using heroin I never saw a single blue and nobody I bought from was selling them. I got clean for two years and when I relapsed 8 months ago I couldn’t find heroin anywhere, literally all I could find were the blue fent pills. The blues are pretty dang cheap if you have a good plug so I would smoke em non stop to the point where I wasn’t even catching a buzz. Instead of cutting my loses and accepting the fact that staying high 24/7 is an impossibility I decided the real problem was that the blues were not strong enough. This lead me to seek out something stronger so I started using straight fent powder which got me high again for a couple days but inevitably my tolerance caught up to me and I was back where I started. I wasn’t willing to give up that easy though so I started shooting the powder right into the old veins and even that wouldn’t get me high. I would take shots large enough to kill at least 10 or more people and I used just over a gram a day and that’s just cause I couldn’t afford any more than that. I knew a girl who smoked 3 grams of fent powder a day. I realize the powder is cut but it’s still way stronger than the blues. Vaping nicotine actually hit me harder than smoking fentanyl by that point. My point is when you ask why would someone even want to make something stronger than fentanyl, the answer is people like myself who are always looking to recreate those sweet highs from our youths. I would have absolutely bought carfentanyl during those days had it been available and I can guarantee you I would not have overdosed. Also, this idea that drug users are unaware that they are buying fentanyl is completely untrue. Everyone I ever knew in that world would seek out the blues and everyone loved the guy who had fent powder. Most addicts are just looking for the best bang for their buck which is what makes fentanyl so attractive to us.

    • @strongman914
      @strongman914 2 года назад

      @@mr.zesozadfrack7790 it’s cheaper to produce, cheaper to transport, and cheaper for the customer. If the cartels start using carfent to make the blues instead of fent they would just use less of it and put more fillers in the pill so it would end up being the exact same strength per pill and they would make sure of this because you are right, they actually don’t want their customers to die. The blues are already cut to shit for this very reason and so is the powder.

    Luis made a great point. Shawn your not tied to any networks. We learn from your show. The knowledge is in the power. With knowledge you can better protect yourself. You don’t get truth from media. When your spending so much time figuring out … who’s being being honest:
    your not making preparations | your not able to protect yourself. I know many people pass judgement. We want to judge the news as truth. We’ve always assumed the news was reputable. Well…
    we all know the old adage about assuming. People know it’s wrong passing judgment on someone they don’t know. Because you’ll screw up every time. You can’t judge a book
    by the cover. 🗝 🇺🇸 USA is in for a world of hurt… until they 🇨🇳realize🇨🇳

    I’m glad Luis is the first guest of this podcast to return for a second episode because although I’ve only seen about 10 of these podcasts, his was one of the episodes and was my favorite. He reminds me of epic Ed Calderon podcasts, and hope his reach grows 100 fold! Great podcast! Keep it up, both you brothas! 😎

    I’m always blown away by the in-depth interviews & discussions on your podcast. I’m over the Criminal Justice & Sociology programs at the college I’m employed. I use exerts from your podcasts often (always giving credit). Turned several students on to you. Keep it up. Stay safe.
