What kind of scoliosis brace would you design for a adult with an ileostomy? I am 56. Also a former orthotist. 20 years ago I was diagnosed with an RA. Then two major abdominal surgeries killed my muscle use on right side of my abdomin. Then a bought of leukemia with 54 days in a hospital bed and 7 months of chemo. You can guess a little tilt after my ostomy to a healthy S curve developing getting bigger a day. I have lost a full inch in height. My orthopedic doc acts like he doesn't want to treat. I always had a little kyphosis since teen. I can not find any OTC brace or wrap I can use because of my ostomy. I might be able to make a hole in a clam shell brace. I was just diagnosed by 2 doctors I have left leg L1 nerve impairment. Also have incontinence and impotence issues. Seeing a specialist at Vanderbilt. But I am ready to take it into my own hands. Find an orthotist to cast me and make my own brace.
