Rubadrum. How did you get the organ, rhythm guitar and especially the horns to sound early 70s on my homeland. Most modern reggae is too clean, up front, loud mastering, loud vocal, hi fi studio horns. You got the tone right. Well done Alien Dread and crew. So it is possible to record digital sound and get a good tone.
Thank you for your comment ... I love all the 70's sound and production from back in those days and I was there buying those tracks and listening to those productions in the 70's as I was born in the 60's
@@danielread5764 Hello Daniel. There are a few albums by Mafia and Fluxy that sound like old 70s multitracks but with an MPC drum machine beat somehow synchronised to the live band recordings. Unless I'm mistaken. When I heard 'My Homeland' I thought it was the same kind of production. Roberto Sanchez does a MIDI sequence of metronome and organ/piano. Then overdubs the real instruments. Maybe your re-amping MIDI organ through a speaker and mic'ing it. Along with spring sounding reverb. And the horns sound nice and 70's somehow.
Top class music on display, nuff respect to IRON SOUND RECORDS and all the musicians and singers on the label, big up JOHN and ANDY,
THE BLACKSTONES
