    ***Apologies for very minor audio drop at **17:54** then a little mixed audio at **19:08**. Lasts a second or two***
    Had some issues trying to process after filming.
    BTW - at 19:08 the cue I was trying to half-heartedly make was, “All that matters in life is that you believe in yourself.” Quote from my shirt 😉
    Hope y’all enjoy!

      someone once said 'how much of me is..."me"?' That's both biologically, psychologically a right rhetorical question to ask. Hence, while appears to be a simple little thing to do, to believe in yourself is so hard to do, it's a conundrum one must keep on solving the whole life, I guess that's what living is all about 😉
      I missed you brother, was wondering and then this video arrives all fresh and new, delighted to have you back my friend.
      Needless to say, enjoyed the video as always, the intro was shockingly hilarious, it couldn't get any worse than this, that was the funny part😂😂
      I'm surely going to check some of these out, sounded quite intriguing that 'butcher baker nightmare maker' one.
      Can understand your frustration as a collector about the defective packaging. Takes all the fun away. Hope you get the cardboard replacement.

      always GREAT to hear from you friend! I am on some vacation / holiday time this week from work. Been a bit crazy on that front and been hard to balance it all with the home life and R&R time.
      I don’t tend to ever go away but the vids might be a little less consistent as it’s possible I may be taking on more at work for my company.
      We shall see my friend -
      I found that shirt at a local department store with the UFO’s and Bigfoot on it and the saying, “All That Matters Is That You Believe In Yourself…” such a true quote…
      But, I’m sure you can imagine “other beings” from above “looking down on us” and observing our primitive way of life…though we may think differently or “more” of ourselves…
      No different than how we look at more primitive life here on earth…yet we are so primitive as modern humans still…
      Hope all is well!

    My Cathy's Curse green eyes had the same problem. A new pair of CR1220 batteries (cost me $10) and a bit of fussing, solved the issue. Works fine for now.

    The Great Alligator - Excellent 4K transfer by Severin.
    Late 70s Alligator carnage. Fun cheesy creature feature.
    Barbara Bach & Claudio Cassinelli were great in this.
    Some fun practical alligator effects. Fun miniature and model designs.
    Nice cinematography in Sri Lanka.
    The 3rd act was bonkers in a good way reminded me a bit of the original Piranha (1978). Awesome unboxing of the severin haul.

      Thanks bud! Curious if you know what The Great Alligator was originally shot on? Was it 16mm? Because man the dark night scenes look INCREDIBLE but in the daylight there is a lot of grain notable and it fluctuates pretty heavy at times. But I really did enjoy this film.
      Barba Bach was simply beautiful and did a fantastic job in this one!
      Thanks for chiming in!

      Cinematographer Giancarlo Ferrando shot The Great Alligator on 35mm film in 2-perf Techniscope using spherical lenses, framed at 2.35:1 for its theatrical release. This version is based on a new 4K scan of the original camera negative, graded for High Dynamic Range in HDR10 only.

      @ungraduatedmedia  3 месяца назад +1

      @@brentmadison4477 appreciate that addition insight. I was having a hard time finding it. There must have just been some issues with the original camera negatives because there is damage at points in the beginning of the film, but it doesn’t detract from my enjoyment of it. The heavy grain structure was obviously left alone and no DNR was applied during those daylight scenes. But again, those dark inky blacks of the night were incredibly good looking!
      I did enjoy this fun film that didn’t take itself too seriously…

    if the film is looking heavy grain in daylight but not as bad in the dark, Id guess that they used the same film in the light and dark scenes and it was overexposed in the light scenes causing all the grain to show, dance, and sparkle like getting hit with a flashlight LOL...seems like IF it had already hit stage 2 of decay, the grain would have been bad in the dark spots as well....

      @ungraduatedmedia thanks man! The interesting thing is I haven't worked with film in so long, but when I was studying and first started shooting and developing it was all film BUT then I left filmmaking to play football again and teach and by the time I started my production company, everything was digital in the indie film world and it all became about trying to make the digital movies I was shooting, look like they were shot on film 😂....and now it is is spinning around again and filmmakers are shooting on film and boutiques are restoring film...it's crazy lol

      it is the same way with my filmmaking equipment- I have 2 Canon Cinema Cameras, 2 Canon DSLRs, and Sony mirrorless...loads of new lenses and cinemoded vintage lenses and I'm like "Why"?? lol... I could literally rent any of that equipment to film my next movie...but once it gets you, it gets you... (like, do I need those Klipsch atmos speakers? no! will I get them? YES lol)
      the same with wanting to complete the Vinegar Syndrome and Arrow lines...but you know brother, it is good for the soul, good for the heart, and good for the head...the happiness and nostalgia it brings is worth the bank account pain LOL- my son is 13 and my daughter is 12 and they've been around me making horror films and they are at a great age for me to share a lot of these with, so even better!

    • @ungraduatedmedia
      @ungraduatedmedia  3 месяца назад

      This must be a quality control issue then. Too many people having the same issue.
      Sucks because it’s such a nice collection piece. At least their customer service is trying to help me, but it can only go so far as they have a limited amount of “damaged slip boxes” left they can resend with the cardboard LED backing…no telling if that one will work either.
      Something they need to take up with their QC department.

      @@ungraduatedmedia The eyes (leds) are slightly glued to the cardboard. Just use a small knife or something thin to get underneath and gently pull out each led for each eye. Flip over the led and underneath is a little spot where a battery should be housed. Use a flashlight to see if a battery is in there or not. If not put a cr1220 in, flip led back over, run a magnet over to see if it lights . If it works , put back led back into the cardboard and put the slipcover Back together. That should do the trick. BTW, I really like your passion for physical media. Great channel and content. .👍 Cheers, Daniel.

    I thought Devil's Honey was ... well ... not great. Lot's of sex, but the script was very weak. Extremely weak. The saxophone sex was good. The main character was annoying. Every time he wanted to have sex, she said no but meant yes. How did the dog die? Did I fall asleep? The film was a mess, but it was very sexy, I will give it that. And it did have a certain ... mood, I 'll give it that as well. I want to see the Great Alligator, that sound fun, But does it have sexophone?

      Lol - you crack me up…
      I did feel like Devil’s Honey was a “so bad it’s good” kinda film. And yes, she was annoying because you know she “wanted that D!” 😂
      I forget already how the dog died - but I remember him being buried at the beach.
      It was a “hilarious” film to me more than anything and that’s why I enjoyed it. It was so over the top ridiculous! Handjob while driving his motorcycle lol…
      Too good…😅
      The Great Alligator is just a fun cheesy ride too. Should be “experienced” by anyone that enjoys “schlocky goodness.”

    • @jespernicolaj
      @jespernicolaj 3 месяца назад

      @@ungraduatedmedia She kept saying "you don't love me" and he kept saying "I love you." I think the dog just died, maybe it's implied that she killed it, cause she had gone of the edge? I love that the abducted guy, first thing he wants when he sees his abductor is to, I don't know how to say this without saying it, lick her P***y. He just wants to have sex with her and for some reason, she is naked all the time. You're right, it was absurd and very entertaining. Still the sexophone scene was the best.
