This is the most incompetent idea ever engine turns off at the wrong time when your in traffic.
    I've stopped using it.
⛽️ fuel wise it doesn't make much difference.
Hybrid is much better system it should adopted universally.

It came pre-installed in my 2024 Chevy Malibu and every time it restarts it feels like my car is having engine problems, so I disable it every time I start the car. I really wish that Chevy had included a over-ride option in the cars various options so I could turn it off, period,

Honestly over-ride option sounds like a good idea :)

Thanks for the tips , but I rather like to use ''ECON'' switch than S/S switch . because I often drive in highways

I hate it on the 2019 Jeep we have however on my 2023 4xE it’s fine. No starter or alternator on the 4xE so no worries.

What about the time it takes to start the car or a line of cars with start-stop systems.

Auto start stop is crap. Purely for emissions and reduces reliability of the car by a long way. They kill the motor every time you stop at a stop sign. This restarting hundreds of times a day is hard on everything. I drove a customers car one day with this feature and asked her what was wrong with her car. It was scary trying to pull out into traffic only to be delayed a few seconds while the car restarts and gets back in gear. Thankfully it can be overridden for now. I bet next year the cancel feature is gone.
