The Obsidian album has been one of the few things this year that calms my ADHD down enough to work, so I'm so happy that it was in my top 5 this year yet again.
I've been going through a lot in the last two years. Demasking autism as an adult being primary, and your music has been amazingly helpful. Metamorphosis, Break and Enter, Ultranumb, Prognosis, Lakes of Flame and Nothing Ever Stays to name a few. You have a vast style that spans mood and emotion. Keep it up. You do amazing work.

I already started to listening to your music in 2019 and then I was simply stunned by the energy, dynamics, clarity and logic and at the same time atmospherics and completeness of the songs that was mostly from the Self-Titled and from The Devil. Ultranumb, Rockstar, Not Over Til We Say So, Anti You, Metamorphosis, Suit Up, Retribution, Throw Away, You'll Get What's Coming and many others. At the beginning of 2020, I discovered more short instrumental songs in my search: Reload, Awaken, Nemesis, Tenacity, Go, Headshot, Ready for Battle, The Sound Of War. This minimalism greatly brightened up my evening walks under rain. Considering all this, you can imagine how glad I was when you released your trilogy in the autumn-winter period of 20-21. Then I highlighted for me a few songs from Quartz and I really enjoyed all the Obsidian, the best from trilogy IMHO. Unfortunately, I almost couldn't keep in mind Copper, so in 2021-22 I mostly listened to Obsidian in those (sorry) rare monents when I wanted to remember your creation. But in June 2023 I just casually wanted to listened to Copper, and it was so great! Especially the ending: Death will have to run, All in Memory, Copper Sand(and Resonance too). I also absolutely surprisingly founded Outlaw, that impressed me by unusual acoustic sound, and Heart, Heart that immediately got me in my heart and become one of the best songs of 2023. Listening to this before sleep is just something else... So, from one of my first-known artists to one of the most pleasantly surprised and creative, Bret, you are just amazing, keep going and be humble and sincere as always, you deserves to be way more recognizable in the world! I very hope that you'll see this, and if you're seeing, consider this the wish to your all birthdays

I totally love your stuff. It's so incredibly diverse but at the same time undeniably yours. I don't always connect to all of it but I always enjoy and appreciate it when an artist stretches their creative muscles and tries something new or unusual. haven't been listening on spotify, but been playing a lot of the quartz/copper/obsidian trilogy back to back over the past year. i feel like they occupy a really cool space, and have this nice drawn out progression towards intense that i really dig.

Break and Enter struck real hard. It just... It was all around great. I can't even pick one or few facets of it to praise. I heard Blue Stahli first back when the titular album came out and stuck around after that. Just a perfect blend of my musical history from 90's psychedelic trance, death metal and punk to aggrotech, harsh electro and whatever that's in any way along the lines of Rage Against the Machine. You got it all. 👌🏼
