I wish I could talk to this pastor. I took my wife to the church, and instead of them talking to her, they just made excuses for my wife and didn't take my matter seriously. It has been devastating. It's really taking a toll on me.

God is the same always and he love us all. In today's world we have women being abused in marriages. Some even killed. That verse you are referring to is well understood but God never created anybody to leave in Hell on earth. I will divorce him when abused. I will take my kids and go and I believe God will still love me. This can be both man or women under serious abuse in a marriage. So I also think your message look on one side only. No one have the right to abuse me physically, emmosionaly so unbearable that I cry everyday as if God created me to leave in hell on earth. I will unfortunately run for my life. You see the only thing that can make a woman unmarried is if her husband has divorced her for fornication she committed before he married her. This is what Jesus explained to the Pharisees in Matt.19:9. The people in Corinth were asking Paul questions concerning fornication so in 1COR.7:1-9 he explains how to avoid it. Now in 1COR.7:10-24 Paul is still dealing with fornication so when he gets to the married what does he talk to the married about? You guessed it Fornication. Why? Because as Jesus said, "fornication is the only reason to divorce". So if the bible tells us only married people can divorce and only for fornication then if I speak to married people about fornication then divorce will be the topic.
Married people commit adultery not fornication. Therefore in the engagement period if one fornicates the wedding may be cancelled because of fornication. However, once you are married you are bound by the law. There is no grounds for divorce. God said he hates divorce. However, if you do divorce neither the man or woman can remarry. They have to stay alone or reconcile with each other. If someone is widowed they can remarry if they want to. But they must marry someone who is widowed also or someone who has never married before. Not a divorcee who's ex partner is still alive. Because even if you divorce God still considers you married. As the marriage covenant is only broken when one or both partners pass away. If you are already married to an unbeliever ( maybe before you were saved, as we are told as Christians not to be unequally yoked) and you become saved, you have no grounds to divorce the unbelieving spouse. If they choose to depart you are not held accountable for their actions but you are still under the law of marriage and divorce so the first rule still applies. Neither of you are to remarry anyone else. You are in peace because you did not leave the marriage, it is not a nod to remarry. This is why churches need to tell the congregation the truth about marriage and divorce, once you enter that covenant that is it for life. So pray and fast for God to give you the right spouse and even when you get married continue to pray and seek God's favour, wisdom and protection for the marriage.

The church might have seen that your wife is not wrong, or right or maybe you are just petty. So they won’t take it serious.
