Well were not getting another Blade movie any time soon so hope that helps 👍 edit: context, this video was called something like "can there be too many blades?"
Skallagrim watching you show off your collection is like watching you play the sketchiest game of Jenga known to humanity. love your videos they are very entertaining.
@@SkallagrimTime flies when you are having fun. I don’t recall a time I wasn’t watching the Skallagrim lol. Pretty much came with the yt package I guess. I’m 24 and most of my life I’ve been watching RUclips. I’m not sure when you popped up but probably around that time I subbed. Thank you for what you do. How’s business? I heard a while back you were struggling is that still an issue? If you don’t mind my asking of course.
It's funny to think about. I started as a hatewatcher back in the day actually lol, malding about his criticisms of fantasy designs back when I was in my very early teens. Then he wound up being the channel I've stuck with the most consistently for almost 9 years now. I always find my way back to these parts, and it started with me being a baby about him not liking the daedric axe.
Honestly, I'm impressed that you've managed to limit your collection so much. I remember such a large variety of interesting weapons you've had over the years. (Although I don't remember most individual items, of course)
Very impressive collection! Thank you for the tour. I imagine this is personal armory is what an experianced Immortal from "Highlander" would have, building their skillsets with multiple sword varieties & martial art disaplines to thrive in "the Game".
Honestly, having that much that organized, and keeping it that way through self-control and selling things off when you know it's time, is aspirational.
Always love seein the skalrmory, you got quite the collection and its cool for fans of the channel beeing able to go "oh hey i remember that from this video", thanks for the tour mate P.S. if you wanna go for the italian pronunciation of Principe, the C is soft like in "cheese"
Every man should aspire to have a nice collection of weaponry like this. If its appreciated and used properly, everyone has fun and noone gets hurt. Just make up your mind ahead of time on which one to grab in an emergency home defense situation.
I really like the way your collection is mounted :)! That new kopesser next to the kreigsmesser is beautiful. Really good look! Also the bins filled with stuff is funny! Lol
Funny to see some of your stuff from new and old videos. Remember the first thing i saw was the Bear Grylls Scout knife video 12 freaking years ago! As a fellow sword collector/user, bow shooter and all kind a historical weapon geek. Thanks for you and for the great job you do, i look forward to the next video. Keep moving trough injuries and set backs both on body and mind, you are doing great!
The timing of this was pretty great for me as I was just marathoning Matt and Lucy's recent sword unboxings and this is right in that same vein, the collection is nice!
It's fascinating how love for swords and bladed weapons can assume so many different forms. My collection is pretty much the opposite, consisting primarily of military sabres and smallsword, mostly antiques, but the variety in Skall's display is fascinating.
This whole video I am just think about how much time you are going to have to spend re-oiling your swords. They are all in beautiful condition. You obviously love your blades.
This makes me want to get back to my part-time hobby of blacksmithing. I really want to attempt to make a... straight edged, rapier tipped, knaggle hilted, single handed messer.
The studio looks great Skall ! Very well planned out. Of course you are correct , if you kept even just 1 of every type of weapon you've reviewed... "Gonna need a bigger build" So well done Sir !
Heres a video idea. how do you deal with maintaining all those weapons or atleast keep them from rusting especially in humid seasons. Is the room ventilated? do you have a day where you inspect and polish/wipe everything, etc?
I love the history on show in that warhammer. Not the nicest hammer ever, but it really tells its story and still still read to use. The collection as a whole I like too, a good balance that still leans into your personal preferences without being as narrowly focused as it easily could have been.
Hey skall, ive been following your channel for a good amount of years now, but id like to thank you. Recently ive finally taken the step and got a first hema practice session in, if it wasn't for your content keeping that interest alive id have dropped it years ago, so thank you, and have an awesome day
Very enjoyable video. Thanks. I sold my entire collection in 2021 to put a deposit down on my flat so I loved seeing your horde. I, for one, would have no problem with a three hour video in the future going into more detail. Thanks again and take care.
The only sword iv ever been jealous of that you have is the gallowglass one it's just so beautiful to me it also probably left ah impression as you've had it a hot minute
You can never have to many blades I dream of a collection like that and I want even more though when it comes down to it you couldn't equip that many but you know lol beautiful blades and collection
I've been looking into this hobby and you have been extremely helpful. I've been looking at a few LK pieces. If you have some I feel better about pulling the trigger.
God what Id to have your collection. But you know, strange as it may seems, if I could get my hands on any sword it would be the Albion Doge or an equivalent piece; something about it is just so amazingly fascinating and beautiful about it to me
"Dont got time for what?" Babe, Id sit here all day for this! Sitting here thinking to myself- Do I have enough things for a video like this? AND wickedly envying just about everything lol
Oh man exciting! I just collect knives. Its still really expensive I cant imagine collecting weapons like this with my taste id be spending tens of thousands of dollars lol.
How about taking a look at Ngbaka Throwing Knife, Mambele Knife-Axe, Elamite Bronze Sword, Antennae Iron Sword, 18th century Portuguese Rapiers, and Spanish 19th Century Hook Saber?
Have any regrets? The Caithness? You know, the one giving the middle finger! Also, you sold off that one gladius you had? The one with the spherical pomel. 😢 Also, gotta ask, any Raven Armory fantasy swords you wish you could have bought? Stormbringer and the Evolution scimitars are my choices. More - You have a bat’leth, what about a Kur’leth and Mek’leth? A all Klingon video?
Hey Skal, you said you did a video on the Newa Pohaku by Koa studio but I cant find it after looking through your vids. I tried a lot of keyword searches and went through generic mace vids too. I don't remember seeing it a first time round either, was the video released to the public? It looks really cool, I appreciate that you linked koastudios channel
thank you for making this I've tried looking for your video on the gustav messer before but I couldn't find it and had no idea what the sword was called
speaking as someone who who's owned literally a few thousand books at once, (i've been getting rid of alot of them lately, honest!) the opening show-off here doesn't strike me as TOO extensive for a legit sword enthusiast. proportionately, that seems about average for a "fandom collection" where you're dedicatedly looking for stuff but aren't as concerned with the "have one of everything" idea
Well were not getting another Blade movie any time soon
so hope that helps 👍
edit: context, this video was called something like "can there be too many blades?"
Yeah, that's a shame.
I think we are getting a new blade movie next year actually
@@trystanfranziskus oh, from what ive seen the most recent news and trailers have shown no progress
Well "Reincarnated as a Sword" is pretty good XD

...gosh, I am following your channel for 8 years by now... x.x
Feel old yet?
I sure do... 8 years ago, that's half of my time on RUclips. Makes my back hurt. ;D
@@Skallagrim considering that is a third of my lifetime.... yes. Very :x

me too buddy
same :D
I got the sword flavour tism
I like sandwiches.
@@jamesdreads7828I’m autistic and LOVE swords and melee in general. This hit close.
Someone who can talk about swords and not be an authortative sword critic is the reason I subscribed to this channel.

You deserve way more views!
That Albion Gallowglass is definitely my favorite in the collection, it is just beautiful.

I love watching your collection because you can see the handpicked quality you choose for them, variety and craftsmanship of quality

Skeleton Grim is my favourite old sharpened metal youtuber :]

Really like the POV camera I like when you switch it up

You're a mad man
@Greatly_Incompetent true. True. Does it help my case that I forged a pair of spring handled shears to cut my own hair in 2020? Perhaps not.
PS. to me, the best piece in your collection will always be the Gallowglass. I hope you never get rid of it. What a beauty that sword is.
Thank you for sharing your collection. I really appreciate it!

I found your channel through knife reviews about 11 years ago, it's neat to see how far your collection has expanded since then!
That basket hilt broadsword is sick.
That was very fun to watch. You have a nice variety of stuff. Much better than a bunch of longswords.
I remember you reviewing the Landsknecht, what a time it has been since! Wicked collection Skal and you've got quite a few "hidden" gems
Man definitely going to have to organize my collection like this, good stuff skall. I’ve been watching since the green hair.
As someone who lives in the Hawaiian Islands, I appreciate the Polynesian Leiomano/shark tooth club in your collection..........👍🍻
Thank you Skall I really enjoyed that. I wish my collection was as big as that!
Great collection, and beautifully presented.

Forget MTV Cribs, showcasing weapon collections like these are my jam.
Nice to see you still have that bronze sword. It’s how i found your channel way back then!

I know steel is superior in every way that matters, but that bronze sword is still the prettiest one there.
Sorry to hear that you are injured again. Get well soon!
All in all, a quite nice collection sir.
Great collection it covers many different aspects.
i remember the grim grin such a sick blade design.
Illa is the greatest sword maker in America, you do have a valuable sword indeed!!!
The Gustav Messer was the first sharp sword I got following your review. Good stuff.
A beautiful collection Skall
I’ve had my eye on that mace from Wulflund. I can’t wait for a review on that.
God what Id to have your collection. But you know, strange as it may seems, if I could get my hands on any sword it would be the Albion Doge or an equivalent piece; something about it is just so amazingly fascinating and beautiful about it to me
yea i could enjoy a three hour long video of you just talking about those swords xD
Oh man, it's been a while since the collection started huh? Cool times indeed :)
GIVE US THE 3 HOUR ROOM TOUR, SKALL. 🙏

Love your vids man keep making them 🔥
30:10 Gosh it would be amazing to have a sword like that in the collection. Is there a way we can get in touch with you about it?
Needed this today.
Thanks for such a great video.
Possessing too many blades isn't a thing, carrying too many blades is a problem
Oh man exciting! I just collect knives. Its still really expensive I cant imagine collecting weapons like this with my taste id be spending tens of thousands of dollars lol.
How do you decide which ones go up on the wall and which ones stay on the ground?
Great content, keep it up!
Nice collection.
How about taking a look at Ngbaka Throwing Knife, Mambele Knife-Axe, Elamite Bronze Sword, Antennae Iron Sword, 18th century Portuguese Rapiers, and Spanish 19th Century Hook Saber?
I couldn't function with so many beautiful swords in my house because I'd just waste my entire time staring at them
Nice! 🤘💀 been awhile since you did a collection video
But which one do you use for vegetables?
I remember you did a look through your collection some time ago and you had half a dozen or so weapons. Once you start it's very hard to stop.
the schalchion and spanish rapira are so freakin sick!
Just like there is no such thing as too many tools! Nice!!!!!!
It's my dream, one day I could afford a setup like Skall.
Have any regrets? The Caithness? You know, the one giving the middle finger! Also, you sold off that one gladius you had? The one with the spherical pomel. 😢
Also, gotta ask, any Raven Armory fantasy swords you wish you could have bought? Stormbringer and the Evolution scimitars are my choices.
More - You have a bat’leth, what about a Kur’leth and Mek’leth? A all Klingon video?
You skipped over the Bat'Leth. Is it synthetic/sparring type/ Who made it? Thanx.
Looks more of a collection that focuses on world weapons rather than one culture. Definitely a great collection.
Hey Skal, you said you did a video on the Newa Pohaku by Koa studio but I cant find it after looking through your vids. I tried a lot of keyword searches and went through generic mace vids too.

Right, that was a patron-only video.
thank you for making this I've tried looking for your video on the gustav messer before but I couldn't find it and had no idea what the sword was called
Synthetic Sai... that explains why they look so weird. BTW: really nice collection there! Oh, and: Get well soon!
10:41 BARATHEON WAR HAMMER 🔨
Gorgeous collection. When do i inherit them all?
Welcome home!
Skall: I feel cluttered.
Me: You can't possibly...
Skall: Now lets's move to the second closet
I remember what happened to the first reaver cleaver lmao good stuff
"man this sword sure is impossibly durable, what if..."
Neat collection matey
Seems like there's a lot for us to look for, once the hand heals. Hope you recover soon
Skall, are you ever going to revisit Blade and Sorcery now that it has exited early access and is officially done?
I love it Skall
I'd love to get my hands on some Lk chen blades, but I live in germany and with taxes and import it comes out to about twice us price😖

Yeah, that makes sense.
What is that directly below the "scalcion" 2:20
You are handsome man, Skal.
Btw did you sell that old arming sword with V-shaped guard?
Trust me collecting Body armor creates even bigger issues with space but I get you, sometimes you just NEED to own it.
"Why is that just lying there?" "Because swords can't walk, Linda!"
