I was full of apprehension when I arrived at Shingle Street, luckily it turned out to be the best ending to my mini Photography Road Trip. Hope you enjoy watching this week's vlog. Please leave a comment and thanks for watching, 🙏👍📸
Brilliant images Rob, so glad you got lucky with that fantastic light it really turned those images into something special. Thank you for sharing take care and all the best.
Thanks Philip for your comment, 🙏. Yeah it was great to capture that set of images and pull them together. What was funny, when I was taking the images there was another Photographer in the image on the far right side. I was going to keep him in but he ended up so small in the final edit and, unfortunately for him, I cloned him out! Cheers for watching and take care, 👍 📸
That's very kind of you Jayne, 🙏. Have you ever been to Shingle Street? If not, it's well worth a visit. Cheers for watching and commenting, take care 👍📸
Thanks Dave for watching, 🙏. Its a great place to shoot and I'm pleased that I came away with better feeling towards the place than when I started!!😂. Cheers and take care, 👍📸
Some nice images here Rob, love that Pano image , great foreground that pool of water with the cottages, really nice. Glad you managed to get better conditions than your previous trip , and a bit of light to make it all worth while !
Thanks Mate for watching, 👍. Yeah it was good to come away with better feelings than when I arrived! The pano image came out well in Black and White. Cheers and take care Mate, 👍 📸
Great video, shows the reality of photography. Often freezing cold, wet and miserable... Like you say though when you look at the end result it's normally worth it. Thanks again, liked and subscribed! Cheers. SAA
Thanks for watching my Vlog, sorry for the delay in my reply but YT held it for some reason. Yes, its good to reflect back on a shoot and realise that the effort you put in pays off with good results. Thanks for subscribing and take care, 🙏👍📸
Thanks for taking the time to show us this lovely location. My favourite image was the fifth one. I think you got to close with the pano as in my opinion the wasn’t enough beach at the bottom but that is always easy to say after the photo has been taken. How do you find the Canon Eos R and it’s resistance to the rain? I have a Canon 6D that had to have weeks of intensive care drying out with a large bag of Silica Gel that they put in sea containers to dry out the moisture in the air to fix mine, so always carry a bag now.
Hi John and thanks for your comment and subscribing, 🙏. Yes, Shingle Street is a great location to shoot and explore. There is so much on offer at low and high tide. I understand your comment on the pano image,👍. With regards to my EOS R, I've recently done a shoot at Felixstowe (Capturing Waves) and got my Camera completely soaked. Luckily there wasn't any issues with it at all. Being out in challenging conditions is one of the reasons why I upgraded my Camera. Hope your able to still use your 6D. Cheers again for watching and take care, 👍 📸
@@RobOutenPhotography Yes Canon 6D works ok now, I had to purchase a second hand one as I was on a two week holiday down in Cornwall and it happened on the second day of holiday at Heartland Quay when a squall came through whilst I was taking a pano. Is the flip screen good on the Canon Eos R as I like to shoot low to the ground? I really liked your Sheerness pano that one of the best pano I have seen.
@@johnedwards8834 oh no that's gutting to happen on the second day. I've been to Hartland Quay, it's a stunning location and when I'm back down that way later in the year I hope to stop off there again. Yes the flip out screen is great. I must admit that when I was looking to upgrade from my crop sensor it was between the 6DMKII and the EOS R. The R pipped it as the mirrorless system is the way things are going longer term (unfortunately/fortunately). I've got EF lenses with my R and the adapter is great. 👍
@@RobOutenPhotography I have just been reading information on the Canon EOS R and is it true in bulb mode that you can input your own exposure time over 30 seconds? I hate messing around with those cable timer remote switches.
@@johnedwards8834 yes that's correct, you can set a shutter timer in bulb mode. I use this a lot when completing LE. As you say a lot easier than an external shutter release cable set up.👍📸

As usual, a smashing video Rob. Absolutely love the black and white pano. Really moody image.

Nice location Rob. Some of my local beaches are shingle and theyre tough on the legs.
Enjoy your weekend.
It was just energy draining and you don't even go anywhere!!🙄🤣
Cheers for watching Andy and thanks for your comment, 🙏👍 📸
Good shots and videos, I been there once and didn’t get many shots some where I need to revisit. Hope all is well mate 👍

All good Mate, hope the same for you, 👍📸
