What lense did you use ? Pls
@@tawfiqmelouka Hi, thanks for watching. Most of the images were taken on a canon efs 18-135mm lens, 👍
stunning photographs ... torn between the RF100-400mm (put off by f8 aperture) and the Sigma 120-400mm, are you still enjoying/ using the 120-400?
@@mtippett80 thanks Martin for watching. I've moved on from the sigma 120-400mm to the sigma 150-600mm as I've started to do more wildlife photography. That said, I would have stuck with the 120-400 if I didn't need the extra reach of the 600mm. It depends on what you want to use the lens for, plus what your budget is. See what you can get but RF lenses are very expensive and you may find a second hand EF mount lens gives you more possibilities, 👍📸
Canon r whit canon f Adapter? Fast autofocus?
Hi Rob I am just in the process of buying a 10-18mm lens for my Canon 7D MkII. I live in Southens and my daughter lives in Maldon and this looks a great location for me to test the lens. Where do you park to get to the location. Many thanks Phil Allen
@@philipallen2730 Hi Phil, thanks for watching, 👍📸. It depends on the time of day you were thinking of going; there is day parking at Prom Park and the boat it's over to the right as you face the waterfront. Or, if your planning on going for sunrise then there are a couple of parking spaces on the road just past the recycling centre. Hope that helps and good luck with your new lens, 👍📸
@@RobOutenPhotography thank you
@@philipallen2730 I forgot to mention that this was a fair while ago so I'm hoping the parking advice is still relevant, 🤞. Also check tide times as this will have an impact on accessing the shore line safely, 👍
@@RobOutenPhotography thank you. Love your videos as not many people make videos in our area
Excellent photography, loved the silver birch pics & the fallow deer images were amazing especially with the white one being in the herd, absolutely fantastic.

Thanks Alan for watching and commenting, 👍. Yeah it's a good location to visit and next time I'll try and wait for a higher tide to create more isolation. Cheers and take care, 👍📸
Hi mate, glad to see you back out, hope your doing well. Some lovely images, what a great location and as you said with a higher tide would have been even better but you still got some lovely images. Hope the bites were not to bad, take care mate !
Thanks Mate for watching and commenting, 👍. Yeah if that tide had been a bit higher it would have made all the difference. Still, there's always next time!! The bites weren't too bad unlike the Welsh or Lakeland "flying teeth", 🤣. Must have been Southern Softy Midges, 🤣😜. Cheers again and take care, 👍📸
Great video Rob I must get up there at some point. How easy is to get to? I've been to the light ship, how close is it to that? Thanks.
Thanks Matt for watching and commenting, 👍. It's about a 10-15min walk from the car park near the public toilets. Head towards the salt marshes and when you reach the sea wall turn left and it's along there. Hope that helps, 👍. Cheers again and take care, 👍📸

Nice to see you back Rob, some great shots, shame about the tide not reaching the tree though, but at least you can go back some time. How's the course going, keeping you busy no doubt :)
Thanks Steve for watching and commenting, 👍. Yeah it was good to be out but as you say I'll return when the tide is predicted to be higher. The course is going well thanks, but looking forward to a break over the summer if I'm honest, 🤣. Cheers again and take care, 👍📸
Great to see you back with another of your smashing videos Rob. You’re long lens shots are lovely. Did you make any black and white images by any chance? Thank you so much for sharing this video.Take care.
Thanks Philip for watching and commenting, 👍. Yes the long lens images came out well. I must admit I forgot to open up the aperture on a couple of them as I was in F11 mind mode too much, 🤣. I didn't convert them B&W but maybe I'll revisit the image and see what it'll look like, 👍. Cheers again and take care, 👍📸
Nice to see you back where you belong and yet another great vlog and some really cool images well worth the wait. 👏👏👏
Thanks for watching and commenting, 👍. Yep, it was good to be back out shooting again. I'll be returning when the tide is predicted to be higher and hopefully get more isolation of the tree. Cheers again and take care, 👍📸

Viewing from Canada. Like your videos on filters. I Have a NISI V5 system and am now looking to purchase a 10 ND filter (I have a 6). Will the Jongsun work with my system? I just find the NISI pricing just too expensive. Any other suggestions?
Hi Rob, good video.. What I'd like to ask you is, what are your honest thoughts about the 120-400. I'm asking because I have the chance to purchase one at a reasonable price, and there seems to be quite a lot of mixed reviews...
Hi Steve, thanks for your comment and watching, 👍📸. When I've used the lens it's impressed me. I've found it great for my type of photography, mainly Landscape with the occasional wildlife if its there, 🤣. I would say if your main reason to get the lens is for Wildlife Photography then, if it was me, I'd go for a 500mm+ lens. Another consideration is the camera body, crop sensor or full frame, as this will have an impact (I'm presuming you've already considered this). Hope this helps, 👍📸
@@RobOutenPhotography Thanks for replying so quickly.. I currently have a crop sensor, the 90D. As I'm a serious enthusiast, and not a pro, can't really justify spending an extra couple of hundred quid on the extra 100mm. My intention is to use it for wildlife, and occasionally for land/cityscapes too, (still learning those), but it equates to 640mm anyways...😃
@@stevenormanphotography your most welcome, 👍 I agree with you about the budget as I was in the same situation. You won't be disappointed, I hope, with the results you get from the lens and as you say the additional "reach" you'll get from 90D will help. Hope you have a good time using your new lens, 👍📸
hello ive just found your channel and wondered where you got you heart shape bowl from with the coffee beans
Thanks Gavin for watching and commenting, 🙏. The bowl was a gift from a friend so unfortunately I can't give you any details on where to purchase one, sorry, 👍📸
Is it possible just to get one clear image of the stars with the 250 with a simple f 1.8 50mm lens.
Thanks Rick for your comment, yeah it should be. I would use the 500 rule as I explained in the vlog. Try a few different ISO settings and review the images on the back of the camera the best you can. Hope you get some good images, 👍 📸
@@RobOutenPhotography thanks. I’ll check it out
Good luck for the future.

I'm going to miss you Rob, but you've gotta do what's right for you. Good luck with your training and don't forget to give extra special effort to your patients suffering from heavy camera/bag/tripod carrying back injuries!! And don't forget that the studying benefits from the occasional break from the books. And what better break than a couple of hours with the camera? All the very best of luck mate.
