    One of the many things which I have learned from Dr. Kalam's books is that I can be both a Hindu and a Muslim at the same time. I mean this is the beauty of Hinduism. I take pride in the cultural integrity and colorful history that India has had. I am a proud Indian and a proud Hindu and a proud Muslim.

    Its heartening to see Hindus finally getting to the task of picking up the fragments of our past and putting a story together.. a massive job that is necessary not just for Hindus but for the human civilization. We have to be able to learn from Mughal/British experience and but look deeper into time before then. Makes one proud to know that each of us is vessel carrying such mature and old DNA))

    Great insight into our history. Aided by scientific evidence we have proved that the Aryan Invasion Theory is wrong. It's important to rewrite our history books so that the next generation learns the truth.

      Aryan invasion has not been proved wrong . It is the 'Aryan invasion theory of destruction if Harappa' that has been proved wrong (the Harappans declined die to the global drought that Sanyal talks about ). Aryan nomadic tribes invaded India after that . They mixed with the local population , created a composite culture ( with the Harappan descendents ) and began the vedic age.

    Ones who liked this speech, should pick up his books "The Ocean of Churn" and "Land of Seven Rivers". Loved them both, especially the former which narrates a very systematic temporal account of trade across the Indian Ocean. It aims to challenge some of the common false narratives being spread about regarding the sub-continent and its relations with the rest of the world.

    Check up the Tamil Bramhin years, it is a cycle of 60 years. Also the Nadi, vinadi schemes of counting time. The astrology will give you the theory of relativity.
    The kumb Mela which have a history of over 19000 years coincides with the revolution of Jupiter around the sun. Rigveda was supposed to have started around 17000 BC. (Ramayana) Updated around 6000 BC (Mahabharata) the remains of chariots are found near hastinapur. Mentions Saraswathi river, it seems Saraswathi has appeared and disappeared many times in past.
    We should look at writing the history of India from 17000 BC. Tirupati devadtanam has a lot of history on its wall. So also many temples in south.

    Thank god, thanks a lot sir, great effort to summarise 7000 odd years of our history in a nut shell. a great eye opener to millions of Indians who can have a glimpse of their glorious past and the turmoils their ancestors have gone through specifically over last 1000 years and a great motivation for us to make a sparkling comeback to the same level of lost glory and pride.

    Thanks for making note of Marathas .. the Indian hate maharashtra due to recent non maharashtraian issues .. they don't know how much Marathas have contributed to Bharat

    • @kunalmajumdar8504
      @kunalmajumdar8504 3 года назад +2

      Sorry for this misconception. Educated Indians do not hate Marathas. Rather, we Indians consider Shivaji as one of the icons of India. I'm a Bengali, now settled in Delhi and can vouch for it.

    • @kunalmajumdar8504

      @Samy k True. By that logic, Bengal contributed and sacrificed most towards the freedom movement. That doesn't mean we have to be smug about it.

    Great speech by Indian Toni kukoc for the most part. The industrial revolution did not kill the artisan trade, it was the British empire, excess taxation on local goods, flooding cheap British low quality goods onto the native people, also excess taxation on the people, with the money extracted for the British empire. The British empire would smash the skilled artisans machines and cut off skilled artisan thumbs, so this had a lot to do with it too, he makes it seem like we couldn’t keep up with the industrial revolution, British imperialism played a big part in this. Also Mughal rule were periods of stability and tolerance, it was Shivaji who came and got rid of Urdu and Persian language in his territories and revived Sanskrit.
