Ok that's fine for that but please don't tell me you're one of those douche bags that assumes people don't know something if they say "I think so" rather than "I know so" that kind of pedantic bullshit is just that bullshit.
It all comes down to will and intent. A wish or hope requires no action on the part of the caster. Unless you can take responsibility, your Magick will have no potency.
little sigil tip: your statement of intent is going to, more or less, keep you (the I) in a perpetual wishing state for the desired result. A better statement of intent could be "I receive many donations to my Patreon account" or "I have many patrons on my Patreon who support me financially". btw, this video makes me want to read The Invisibles more than I did before. great video!
Grant Morrison did existentialist work with Doom Patrol, Kid Eternity, the 1990 reboot of JLA, Seaguy, Seven Soldiers of Victory plus the short lived tv series on Syfy; Happy!
I literally just finished the series like 2 minutes ago as of writing this. I typed "The Invisibles Grant Morrison" into youtube to see what others' thought and this came up. Freaky. I suppose that's magic for you.
I once helped a transsexual singer friend of mine to unlocked esoteric stuff by giving her some books and taro cards. We are Brazilians... I can't take out of my mind the idea of this been some residual hiper sigil magick manifestation from the Invisibles...
I remember when I first heard about the Invisibles, I had read that it was such a weird comic. However, I read Grant Morrison's (and Rachel Pollack's) Doom Patrol before I read it, and comparatively the narrative is really pretty conventional and normal. Considering Morrison has not been shy about the fact that he was on drugs while writing the Invisibles, I expected it to be... less comprehensible. It wasn't bad, but completely not what I'd expected.
Doom Patrol? That one is essentially proto-Invisibles but more unhinged. It's the same story, but something that would be a major plot device or wisdom in Invisibles will get treated as a throwaway joke in DP
Will, as a verb, will keep the desired result perpetually in the future, so it will never come to pass. Will, as a noun, (It is my will to . . . ), grants agency to the operator. I am, I receive, I have, (present tense positives) are best
I'm not really a fan of Morrison, but I get drawn to his work, he usually chooses such a fascinating subject that I feel I must check out, or people highly recommend it. There are few projects that I like from him and Invisibles is one that I want to check out but I find Morrison so hit and miss it's hard for me to purchase them. I really liked some of his Batman until R.I.P. and his New X-Men was okay it ranged from great ideas to some odd ones but maintained to be a good read, and one that I did like was Happy! (though the series is quite disappointing despite the great casting). Anyway thanks for the recommendation Ted, and maybe update us if you decide to read more, you seem to be absorbed by it already, and I always love a recommendation. A personal favourite of mine to recommend is Midnight Nation written by J. Michael Straczynski and art by Gary Frank, it's a great concept with a powerful meaning.
The sigil's kinda wrong cuz it must be written in present and also its creation is not a secret, anyways, i wish for all knowledge to be revealed to you and all good fortunes to you.
You have to do another video when you get to the end! The comic gets way more interesting as it progresses, and you'll have a very different analysis /interpretation than you have in this video
First three books are class. A detail I don’t understand about Dane is he listens the the Hip hop crew Naughty by Nature in the book? Wouldn’t it befar more fitting for him to be listening to the Wu Tang Clan who are highly esoteric or even more so Gravediggaz (highly highly esoteric 🤣)who are basically the real life version of Jim Crow but not as hokey and way more savage 🐍☠️. Check out The Pick The Sickle and The Shovel for an idea 👍
I really respect GM as an artist and the invisibles omnibus is the most valued book on my shelf, but the fact that he appears to sincerely believe in this tripe makes me sad.
@@dcauwatchtowerThank you! I am non-binary and people misgender me often. I don't bother to correct them. Perhaps I need to stand up for myself a bit more.
@@naturesquad9174 it seems so. Being very involved and seeing things from that world's perspective is important, but one shouldn't forget that they don't live in that world, it isn't their's and never will be. Differentiating between that world and this is also very important, because it leads to detachment from reality and then self destruction.
Former occultist saved by the Blood of Jesus Christ. Do not practice what Grant Morrison tells you to do with regard to magick or sigils. His writing, philosphy and advocacy for sigil magick got me into the occult and almost drove me insane. Literally, I almost killed myself due to the torment the demons and fallen angels brought upon me by opening those door. Magick is real in as far as it's used to decieve people into going to Hell. This is a terrible title for this book and honestly if you can listen to his backstory about being in the hospital with a flesh eating bacteria and "writing himself im the comic" and not ybstand what you are dwaling with, you are blind. Lord, please protect anyone who hears about this book and about Grant Morrison.
Grant Morrison is cool and I'm glad he's helped make Chaos Magick famous. As for actually explaining the system and whatnot, he's a real bad example of how to use, learn, understand or teach Chaos Magick philosophy.
Never state that you "wish" or "want" in a sigil. You will only experience "wishing". State your "will". Then it "will" happen.
@Oh it’s that guy! sigil magic is an exact science to an extent
True
Another way to do it is to write as though already have it, works for me personally but yeah agree never write “wish” or “want” into an intention

I literally bought the omnibus last week. Grant is the reason I got into esoterocism.
I love how chill Ted is, he gives me calm.

Grant Morrison still vilifies The Wachowskis for ripping off the concept of The Invisible’s into their film The Matrix.

Invisibles made a cameo in doctor fate (2003) #1
actually you have to cross out the vowels as well!!
Great vid and review 👌
Saying "I wish" or "I want" lacks confidence. You should be saying "I will."
Also, I AM..
Will, as a verb, will keep the desired result perpetually in the future, so it will never come to pass. Will, as a noun, (It is my will to . . . ), grants agency to the operator. I am, I receive, I have, (present tense positives) are best

Grant didn't get "kinda sick" he almost died.

Read The Invisibles, there's nothing else quite like it. Closest thing to a psychedelic drug in comic form.
You have to remove all vowels, only use consonants ;)
Your suppose to cross out the vowels as well
Forgot to mark off the vowels
A big hint that i worked is that he still got the same scar on his cheek like King mob as he was getting sick

This guy is so cute lol
You forgot to cross out all of the vowels first... There should be no vowels. The crossing out of double letters is correct.
Bruh it doesn't matter
Agree entirely dude.

hell yeah it is
How'd that work out for Littlefinger? ( granted we do not, and probably will never find out, as there is NO GOOD REASON for GRRM to finish WoW.

speak about Chaos Magick App, powerful technomancy tool please
This is my first time watching one of his videos. Ted is very good at making me be attracted to him... LOL
Are you sure that's not just the logo for the First Order?
HOLY SHIT ITS TED !
John Cena? Sue Storm? Kevin Bacon? Kel Mitchell?

Read Peter Carroll. I think it’s Liber Null. That will give you a migraine.

Interesting comics I like the stories
your sigil lowkey looks like your logo. #casualchaosmagic
Oh no, you forgot to incorporate the "P" from "Patreon" into the sigil! 😟 Don't let the magic die, you have to fix this before it's too late!
Grant Morrison Disinfo speech. You’re welcome.
Have you read about sigil magic? Because from what you say here seems you dont have a clue
Why does the sigil look like James?
