I'm here because of 'The Rookie'. I recently discovered that Melissa sings. Wow! What a powerhouse of talent: she is terrific as an actress on 'The Rookie', and she is a lovely singer. Great combination.
The more I read about her past the more amazing she is. She started singing just a few years before Canadian Idol and then and won it. She just started acting a few years before landing a role The Rookie. How can someone be so talented that they only practice hard for a few years and then wins competitions? Apparently she is capable of it.
Truly amazing. I am here because of Dark Matter. Her singing is good enough to win Canadian Idol and her acting doesn't drop a single note off of her talent level. Truly an incredible woman. Please help get Dark Matter picked up so we can have more of her in our homes every episode.

In an hour she will be on a panel here in San Diego's ComicCon to which I try and get tickets to every year to no avail. Instead I get to see what she was up to many years ago in Canada. What an amazing woman! You go girl! Hope to see you in person someday....
I can't believe how different she looks now. I first saw her on Dark Matter, and she's such a physical character that I assumed she was athletic her whole life.
Looking back, it was really her acting ability that allowed her to get into and sell each song, because her voice is good but not that great. The whole thing was a successful acting gig for her.

She is hot as fuck now, though it would have been better to draw the sex out for a for a few seasons. She's already slept with half the crew. 1, 2, and 3. I think 6 is next.
Kelly Clarkson has an awesome voice, is Melissa another Kelly. Her voice is awesome, trying to keep upto her in her singing, takes training/practicing. She Rocks!
i'm pretty sure there are moments where Melissa herself wonder how the hell she won this competition. She came into this thing not expecting to make the top 10 and she ended up winning by fluke. She's always wanted be a teacher a had absolutely not aspirations in this industry.

Yeah. very true. I dont know who is kalan porter but Eva Avila can really sing. And I guess yellin in tune was just enough to win canadian idol. Wait, probably because the judges are too soft? I honestly think that the american idol judges are better, at picking the people.

She's like an Asian version of Kelly Clarkson in her Idol season, from her look, to clothes, and her mannerism when she sings. And she won too!
