The anime of JJK is so fire and very accurately adapted to the point where you could start the manga after you catch up with the anime. I like the manga a lot the art isn't the craziest thing out there but its cool and wrapping up I think this year or soon next year.

The Hunter x Hunter manga is just as good, lol. Whoever told you it's a chore to get through is wrong!! Once you reach about chapter 340, it turns into a wordy mystery with very complex characters and alot to keep up with- not for everyone. Up until there, though, if you like the anime you'll prolly like the manga too. (i don't see why you wouldn't.)
I’m in the same boat on jjk I’ve watched the anime it had good animation my only issues with it are the characters aren’t very fleshed out and the story is relatively basic out of new gen anime I much prefer chainsaw man

I read vol 1 of Blue Period recently and I loved it! The Summer Hikaru Died is definitely one of my faves at the minute!!
