Thank you Expressions... Ir's been many years now since I spoke to the protestors outside the ground, it must've been around the time of Poch's final season, and I suggested to them that they should target one home game for boycott months in advance by putting it on their banners and to also run a campaign on social media etc They flat out shut down the idea, and as they folded their banners away so they could then go take their seats inside the stadium , they retorted with "we suppot the team , not the regime!"
I had an exchange with the 'Change For Tottenham' movement on Twitter about the same thing, to target a particular game for boycott , and the resposes were the same, "we don't surpport match boycotts as it would hurt the team. We support the team not regime"

When Ange started everyone including fans and you tube channels (including this one - both Sim and Ben) were saying we’d need patience to rebuild the club and playing style let alone trophies. Most channels were saying he’d need all 3 years of his contract to even stand a chance to change things. As far as I see it he hasn’t event completed his 2nd year. Until Levy leaves/ retires it doesn’t matter who the manager is. Instead of tearing itself apart every 18 months or so, (as Levy wants it to to prolong his tenure) no manager, Ange or otherwise, will succeed. What progress have you seen in a season and a half under ange?

    • @nontimehistory5679
      @nontimehistory5679 6 дней назад +1

@ im going to be coming at this in a totally different way than what would be deemed normal. The main progress has been blowing teams away. This has been inconsistent, but in comparison to last season this is a positive progression. The difficult part is consistancy. The only manager in the last ten years (obviously I could be considered to be wrong) was pocchetino. No other manager has given us consistency. But blowing teams away with a football style that we enjoy (given, when we win) is a good start. Last season when we lost players at the Chelsea game I made a bet with my mate saying we wouldn’t win the next five. He’s a Nottingham forest supporter and always wants us to lose (for five games he wanted us to win which was worth the punt in the first place). The reason why I came out with the wager was because, like poch, we only have a decent first team. Our B team probably would struggle in the champions league or even league one. It’s silly really because the amount they earn should mean they are prem players, but they simply are not which is why we fall down the table like a sack of spuds.
Anges job (one of many) is to get them performing consistently at a high level with the attitude of winners.
Ange is a stubborn host which comes with plusses and negatives. A plus is that, like poch, he wants a team of winners and will be pushing them to fit that mold.
Personally I don’t know if he can turn the mentality of this club around, if anyone can, but I am happy that he feels he can and actually wants to be here with us.
One of the real problems for us which includes poch final months is defense. We haven’t had a great defense since aldeweirald and Vertonghen. Maybe VDV comes close.
The two defensive managers couldn’t get our defense to sing a tune. To combat this frailty, a possibility is to just try and score more than you are letting in, which is inevitable.
Unfortunately Ange is playing within the parameters of Levy which means he has to play football politics. He could go all conte and Mourinho, but instead he’s playing it differently and saying he’s happy with the transfers knowing full well that what he really wants he’s not going to get…yet.
I think he’s playing the long game and as much as we don’t like it the defence is the biggest problem and the biggest challenge.
I think he seriously wants to challenge for the title and it would certainly be refreshing having a manager who doesn’t see us as a joke. If spurs fans thinks the ambition of challenging for the title is delusional and are happy to be forever in fourth then we need to go and get Wenger.
Personally, I’m prepared to suffer and allow Ange to see his contract out and if he doesn’t succeed at least we can actually say we stuck with a process from beginning to end. … but I could be wrong. I’m just daring for us to do. Stay well. Coys.

Ange Postecoglou is stuck in a total disaster at Tottenham, a club that’s become a breeding ground for delusion and dysfunction. His abilities are being thrown away in a setup that’s clearly rigged for failure, and it’s downright frustrating to watch.
Let’s not forget: last season, with a healthy squad, they were sitting at the top of the league. Now, amid a sea of injuries and a laughably thin roster, it’s a joke to expect him to succeed. Just as a person can’t run without legs, a manager can’t win games without players. It’s not rocket science-anyone with even a shred of common sense knows that losing one vital player can send a team spiraling. Spurs are dragging out a second-string lineup, and yet some deluded fans want to pin the blame on Ange for the chaos.
What’s truly nauseating is how quickly these fans flip. One minute, they’re belting out “I’m loving big Ange instead,” and the next, they’re booing him off the pitch. This fickleness is a disgrace and exposes the ugly truth behind Tottenham’s ongoing issues.
To think of discarding another manager after only 18 months is pure lunacy. This isn’t solely on Ange; it’s a reflection of a club that refuses to face its deep-seated problems. Tottenham fans are living in a fantasy world, and their ignorance is choking any potential for success. Until they confront the reality of their situation, it’s no wonder that a talent like Ange is being wasted in this toxic environment. He deserves better-he deserves to escape this mess and find a club that truly values ambition and the pursuit of success.

  • @tedmaul5842

Not a Tottenham fan myself but always had a soft spot for them and I've said to my Spurs supporting friend that this season should be about winning a trophy (FA, League, Europa league cup etc). Forget about top 4 because what good has finishing in the top 4 been, when you have owners who don't bring in top quality players but always go for the cheaper, often younger models.
If Ange doesn't win a trophy, then he is on thin ice but you have to give him the rest of the season.

He has so many players to work with. No excuse over fresh players. But the whole squad has low confidence at Man Utd and issues like Rashford and odd Garnacho, who was their best player last season. They have bought so many players other big clubs were not using/rejects. Same with us and Werner. There is good reason these players were not in favour. He needs his own players and ones up for the challenge. The defence and midfield look so toothless and Hojlund as well. Scary the money they wasted. While changing the manager is no guarantee, the Wolves guy has started well and my disappointment with Ange is what he is doing with those available, not improving them, ignoring Spence for so long and other options like Lankshear. Udogie injury is his fault. Wolves draw was just final nail for me. Not good enough. We had the win and he can’t manage the game situation. Holding a lead and killing a game off has been his problem throughout.

No managers in this day and age choose players exclusively. Every single club buys players by committee with consultation of the manager. The average stint of a Premier league manager is 18 months. Most players sign minimum 3 year contracts. Why would a football club invest 50 million plus wages in a player that only the manager wanted who gets sacked a few months after the player signs, Just for the new manager not to want the player? It's not the 1980s anymore, players cost so much more, wages are so much higher. It's big business now how ever much we hate it.
