Previously, Barrie has faced criticism for "spoiling" his children - but he has hit back, saying it is his money to spend however he pleases. Today, Saffron - who Barrie jokes is "the most expensive thing" in the Drewitt-Barlow household - is having a special surprise delivered. After she wrote off her old car, her twin brother Aspen and Barrie joined forces to surprise her with her dream £295,000 G-Wagon.

The quiet one is a scientist that founded a medical company. Then a surrogacy company. He also recently made 89.7 million off bitcoin investment but is now dying and so Barrie (the loud one) shacked up with the daughters 21 yo ex and they have a surrogate baby together....so weird.
I can understand wanting your kids to have a better life than you did, but they should have limits, boundaries and respect for where their bread and butter comes from, otherwise you're not doing them or society any favors.. That's a lesson most parents learn the hard way..

I like this man very much, but (not trolling I promise, just giving an opinion) many wealthy people indulge those they love because they're controlling, and it's the easiest way to control somebody - to make them dependent on you. I hope that's not the case here, cuz I really do like this man, and he seems like he could get hurt very easily. Would hate for that to happen.

Yeah, I wouldn't say anything if the kids at least looked happy but they look bored out of their minds. The boy that sits besides him for most of the video looks vacant and on drugs (not implying that he is, but he does look depressed). Truly people who can't get excited for anything anymore.
This really made me value my teenage years. At 15 we were still playing childish games around the neighborhood, having big barbeques, I had almost zero fashion sense (in a good, innocent way) and turned my hair green trying to turn it blonde at home. I wasn't dirt poor but far from rich and I was happy and healthy. My first car was a used one but I was privileged enough to have it on my doorstep as soon as I got my license, I had it for 7 great years and I still miss it. You don't need all this crap, you need good moments and good memories. And yes, sorry but definitely nouveau riche...

I feel like saffron just doesn't appreciate anything, if I had a nice car like that I would jump on my dad and say thank you thank you and pay him back in return with a gift that he always want but I guess that type of attitude happens when your rich. His family are bussinesmen and politicians and he is already set for life,at the same time he had a baby with his girlfriend 3 years ago,he broke up with her and 3 years later he hasnt do nothing for his little girl. Before Barrie finished his sentence, I knew his most expensive thing was his daughter Saffron. Thanks to my college roommate who came a lot of money, I know for a fact that children are the biggest financial drain wealthy people can have. What’s even weirder is how much the kids from wealthy families lean on their parent’s money to survive. Someone should hand Saffron a broom without saying a word and see how it takes for the confusion to leave their face.

That environment seemed INCREDIBLY stressful. You could feel the tension of complete hollowness, complete shallowness in the entire video. I am a very wealthy person too, but my life is SO different. We have more of a balance of living a nice lifestyle but having balance and some level of humility. I live in an upscale southern california ranch community close to the original Reagan Ranch, so there is a lot of money around here, but people are WAY more down to earth and not constantly obsessed with money. I hope his kids are happy, but they don't look happy at all. He is talking about his kids like they are just a drain of money and they stand there next to him and don't say a single word, like they are wealthy, but hostages to their sugar daddy whom they probably despise.

The problem with spoiling your kids is that you make life too easy for them. They learn nothing. They'll be at a huge disadvantage when money is no longer there. They wont be nearly as competitive as kids who grew up in hardship and are disciplined, intelligent, creative, and very hungry for success.
I can tell those kids are very unhappy. No meaning in life anymore. Being given everything at an early age without earning it is like putting in cheat codes into a video game: you suddenly have everything, but subconsciously you know you haven't earned it, so you suddenly start becoming bored with the game.

This family (well, him) are truly obscene. I was glad they were on Below Deck because they were rude and obnoxious and we got to see that not just the other horrible Americans on Below Deck could be such. And the fact that he said his daughter had no respect when she drove on the grass hit the nail on the head. They are not being taught good values, self-sufficiency, the value of a dollar and working for it, etc. They are "new money" as he admitted and it's just nauseating how he has to tell you the price of everything. And they breed dogs when there are so many homeless dogs needing a home. I just can't watch them anymore. It's so sad how these kids are being brought up and spoiled.
