Only edit suggestion is for role orbs. Having THTH instead of TTHH ends up being easier for the DPS cuz they don't have to worry about which way to rotate
I usually clear the content way before the videos, but you can god damn bet I will be coming here to watch when a new guide releases, it is so satisfying and well made, the pace, soundtrack, explanation, everything is so clear and great to watch, thank you for your hard work.
For the orbs, you can position a tank north, healer northeast, tank east, and healer southeast, and the dps can stand in any position from south to northwest (going clockwise). This ensures that the DPS pop one healer orb and one tank orb each, so the debuffs don't matter. This allows you to pre-assign all clockspots.
@@rithli There's a video called JP uptime orbs strat. It's a lot easier to execute imo though I don't think NA pf uses it. It also requires more mitigation because you're absorbing two at a time.
Thanks, Joon! Just got here so seeing the guide (and stopping a lot) is helping me out for my own teams. I too (on Primal) have primarily seen THTH orb style thus far but both ways make sense so /shrug. Great guide!
Cleared it in Feb but I always love your guide, so much explained and with real-time progress bar to help playing in mind even before starting this raid!
Great video as always Joon. Only little nitpick I have is the way you animate water > poison combo for pinax will probably get people killed. If its the second combo its fine cause there's plenty of time. But, for the first one ranged should be getting knocked in the direction of their spread positions; if everyone gets knocked into a straight cardinal direction there's not enough time to move far enough away before it goes off.
@@ShadowHunter31 There was nothing easy about PF P3S. I got my clear in week 5 and felt so tired I didn't even attempt P4S. This has never happened to me before.
For the first set of rots and tethers, you don't actually need the T/H north. Everyone stays south except the MT and the group that doesn't need rot stacks south once the rot bloodrake telegraph goes out. This minimizes the movement for everyone and prevents the crossing of paths because the boss model obscures the characters. This also makes it so that if the non-tether group forgets to move, the tethers are already in place south, so it's easier for the tether group to compensate.
Great strats! For pinax, I'm not sure if you mentioned it, but it's important to note that many people should avoid using anti-kb for water in first pair of pinax tiles in case you need it for cape and fire later and you won't make it in time to stack for the 4th tile (4:15 - in the event you somehow don't with all the time). You can avoid clipping by having g1 closest to center and g2 slightly off center Lightning spreads are mirrored if the lightning tile is on the side where your party did the set up; and if the poison tile is adjacent where you're standing, the melee dps who's suppose to spread goes under the boss (4:18 - if the poison was on the right or left, all melee should go max melee to give space for someone under in the event the MT doesn't center it) For main tanks - If it's fire after cape/sword you can keep boss near wall, if poison is still coming, do your best to center him! Great video and I hope you keep making these
Not sure if it's been suggested but role orbs can have Tanks on N/E, Healer NE/SE, Melees S/W, Range SW/NW. This way the melees can stay max melee and range pop the orbs closer to the melees. The orb explosion is big enough to reach the melees even if popped early and it gives everyone uptime. Hope this helps!
This video will be super helpful for people working their way through pinax, I remember drawing out the diagrams and planning my actions through every iteration imgur Uptime Pinax .png, you have served your duty well and will be missed 😔
There's a braindead strat for role orbs. Rather than putting the healers next to each other and tanks next to each other, and having DPS adjust based on their debuff, assign static positions that alternate tanks and healers across 4 positions (tanks on cardinals if you want, so MT can be north) and assign DPS static positions across the opposite side. Acting Tanks and Acting Healers only need to pop one orb of their acting role, popping the other role has no penalty. So, by popping one of each, the DPS will survive regardless of their debuff. This way, nobody ever has to adjust, you just assign positions and pop the same two positions across from you every single time. As for which orbs exactly, just go by marker colors. If you're on a blue marker, for example, you might pop the left-hand red marker, then the right-hand red marker. As long as everyone is on the same page about the side to start and direction to rotate, you just do the same movement every time.
People think it's braindead but it's honestly not that much more work/difficult than pastebin orbs. in both strats, you 'd have to figure out where north is, figure out your spots. Literally look across and see whether there's a tank or healer . When people are learning pinax/orbs they usually mark healers (for light party stacks) and at this point it should be muscle memory
Hi Joonbob! Don't know if you'll read this and/or reply, but, would you ever do these colourful guides for things like TEA, UWU, UCOB and DSU in the near future?
One day... one day I’ll beat P1S, P2S and P3S and finally reach P4S. 😭 And when I do, I’ll be watching this video again and again and again, until every step is engraved in my brain! All the best for those of you who made it this far! 👍 Thank you Joon! Stay safe. ❤️ PS: Cool music!
Honestly, I think it'll be a lot better to have a temporary light party for Pinax where Tank-Melee are group 1 (who can gap close) and then Ranged-Healer for group 2
for the love of god don't do the pastebin strat for Act 2, please do the uptime strat which is significantly easier with fewer moving parts so PF stops doing this godforsaken NW/SE garbage
See you in Phase 2. ✨

@@RonocLrd this is true. We do HTTH and it’s the same result, DPS always takes both types and it resolves easy.
I need phase2 in my life
phase 2 wheeeen
yo where's phase 2

Thanks as always love your guides.

I prefer doing it similar to this. Cuts down on the amount of mistakes that are made mid-fight.
never encountered this in 3 months of PF but noted

@@rithli its called THTH orbs, and it's the norm of Primal DC. No adjust needed
this!!!!! i was hyped to see south rot in the video but then disappointed to see xeno orbs instead of static starting orbs

Having cleared this tier for weeks I dont come here for the guide but the amazing editing in the vod and music
It's always top tier!
I love the music selection xD Good work~
Just finished Endwalker yesterday, your vids are built in the perfect way for my brain to understand! Thanks!

can't wait to post the link in pf. peace will finally be achieved
This is crazy, those groups who can beat this are impressive AF.
This Tier is actually pretty easy compared to the previous ones.

Convincing pf randos to do it this way is impossible, alas.

I honestly dont even mind dying to this fight after the absolute hell that was 3.

This song is not in Spotify or SoundCloud I need it!
Thanks!!
Yo thank you!!
thank you
great vid as always! for orbs, is there any reason you prefer acting role clock spots to fixed clock spots (the braindead/JP strat)?
nothing to do with pref
it's what's prominent / locked in PF after x number of months

Half the raid community waiting on p4s phase2 , half
Waiiting on dragonsong and a magical third half waiting on a pvp video.
Lol
please everyone stack south for debuffs/tethers, TH north and DPS south is so stupid.
wait how do you handle if T/H need virus as well? they end up with immunity and cant recieve the virus?
I kinda preferred the other one.
same
still no phase 2 from our goat sadge
Now i need a guide to find a good static to do this with (the hardest savage fight fight since 2.0)
Hardest savage fight was definitely Shiva (E8S)

Fire stack is on healers iirc. So you cant have both healers together
Akito orbs is so much easier
then do that lol
Does anyone else's raid group call Aetheric Chlamys Chlamydia? No.. Just us?
okay... sorry.
Not watching! Not gonna get fooled again!
