- 👋 Check out the all new 2024 Lotus Emira! The new Emira is a brand new mid engine sportscar from the British sports car maker Lotus. Coming after the Evora, the new 2024 Emira is a big step up. Still utilizing the supercharged V6 sourced from Toyota. The 400 Horsepower Lotus Emira is a fantastic car to drive! The 6 speed manual was such a joy to row through gears and felt so engaging. The handling with the 2024 Emira is exactly what you would expect from a Lotus. So tight in the turns and this car just craves the mountain roads. I love how the new Lotus Emira has hydraulic power steering to keep the driver connected to the road. While this new 2024 Lotus Emira has many creature comforts like navigation, heated seats, cruise control and a digital display. Lotus hasn't lost any of the driver focused aspects their cars are known for. I like the infotainment screen, it's very responsive and has good graphics too! This 2024 Lotus Emira was the Touring spec. You can also order a Sport spec which will have a bit stiffer suspension. The Touring still felt very stiff and composed, but it was certainly forgiving on big bumps. The First Edition Emira has a few extra tech features then the rest of the lineup will have as options. The styling of the 2024 Emira is beautiful! Looks very similar to a Ferrari 488. But still has it's own unique style. I really have no bad things to say about driving the all new 2024 Lotus Emira. At $98,000 this is an amazing sports car that truly has a lot to offer! This 2024 Lotus Emira was finished in Magma Red with the full Black Pack which gives the roof and side skirts the black color. I really liked the new Emira and could see adding on eat some point to the garage! The 4 cylinder Emira is coming soon which will have a Mercedes AMG derived engine with a DCT. The V6 version will either have an updated 6 speed automatic from the Evora 400 or the 6 speed manual! The manuals exposed shift linkage was a cool touch! The interior also really feels nice in the new Emira. Felt every bit of the price tag and was a wonderful place to spend a few hours!

I'm glad it's got a USB port next to the rearview mirror, more automakers should do that.
Very cool feature! They know who's buying this car lol
Pure enthusiast's car.
Glad these things still exist.
Great deal in a few years.
So true! Really an impressive car! Love how even with some modern goodies, it felt like a true car for the driver
What a beautiful car! The hood vents are unique, but they look great. I’m trying to imagine actually owning one. I love it. ❤
They are! Such a cool design to see unperson. Definitely a car worth buying!
🤤 omg it’s beautiful
It is! Such a cool car!
Toyota motor with toyota Transmission for the win.
Yeah this should be a pretty solid setup!
Beautiful car. I had to cancel my order. But I’ll get that or an R8 one day.
Oh dang. Definitely a fun car! Either option would be a blast!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed Yeah man i was gonna go with the Yellow and the arctic grey interior and black pack. But one day.
@@Bruuuce That’d be cool! You’ll get it soon enough!
The stalks and window controls on the Emira are sourced from newer Volvo cars, similar to Aston Martin back in the late 2000s and early 2010s.
The Emira (in the video) gets the tan leather interior reminding me of BMW's Cinnamon Brown interior color on the E46 M3 and other BMW cars
using the same interior color.
Yeah I'm sure the little things like that are easier to do like that. Very nice interior with this color
U could start the car without the clutch if its in neutral
Have you tried that? Most modern cars require the clutch to be in, even in “neutral”.
if i could actually afford this, i would get the V6 automatic, sadly its over 105k eur in europe....
These are definitely some fun! Not the cheapest car out there
@@BrosFOURRSpeed yheaaa... cant even afford gr86 or supra, which are 45k or 65k here...
maybe the gr, but then i would have to cancel my pension funds thingy
Just keep saving up and budgeting your money. You can do a lot if you really dial in your spending habits
@@BrosFOURRSpeed well, i already save nearly 50% of my money, (1k eur) however thats because i work like 210hrs+ every month (no overpaid worktime, have made an agreement that i work as much as i want)
After i do the pension extra, ill be saving like about 25%.... so... it would take me like 7.5 years to save up for the car... and at that point there is going to be something better, it will cost 2-3x as much....
so yhea... only choice i have is to invest all the money and maybe in the future ill get something good.... and no.. already my salary is quite good for my job :(
@@prospect2664 Not really the worst. I spend 18 years working towards my Lamborghini Gallardo. Things take time. Work towards your goals and be ok with it taking time. In 7 years you’ll be able to buy a nice pre owned Emira for probably $65k
Apparently Flow has a few of these available?
They do!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed I'll wait for the GT AMG version
not sure why everyone picks manual or why they made it it's so 2005, mine is auto so much better no shifting in traffic plus sounds like a modern shift and suits the car for the looks
Depends on what people want. Lots of fun rowing through gears in a manual. I'm sure the auto is fun too if you do have traffic and commuting to do
@@BrosFOURRSpeed even manual lambos sound odd, imagine if F1 cars were manual lol
@@ess7488 Well F1 cars are designed to win races and have the fastest lap times. Manuals are about just having fun being engaged with the car. Plus manual Lambo’s go for crazy money! So the old manual cars are worth a lot more. And even modern sportscars, the manuals hold value better then autos. But it just depends on what you like
Looks similar, to the new Corvette! Companies rip each other off i guess. Same hp too
Look more like the McLaren Artura to my eye.
Yeah it has some C8 and 488 design inspiration to it. But it does look amazing!
I can see that. Wonder since both are British if any of the same designers worked on both cars
SUPER Lotus Emira!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah the new Emira is a great car!
Such a sick car. I had a deposit on one but the 3 year delay and markups made me go with a 718 Spyder instead.
Would you take the Emira or the 718 GT4
I don’t have either but gt4 all the way. Now…. I say that based on smiles…. No one that has driven the Emira has smiled as much as those driving a spider. But… tomatoes tomato….
Oh dang. These are all MSRP from Flow. Personally I'd go Emira. I like the Cayman, but the GT4 is just too expensive for what it is. I drove one since I was considering buying one. It was pretty boring to be honest. My friend has a 981 GTS Cayman and it's so much more fun to drive than the 718 generation. Lotus has more character then the 718. However the Baxter Spyder is a different story! That car is amazing with the top down! So you picked a good one!
Yeah the Spyder is amazing! Regular GT4 is a bit boring I think. The 981 is more engaging to me. This Emira is certainly a car worth buying. I really liked it
@@BrosFOURRSpeed just waiting for my warranty to be up then it’s start for the DeMan treatment! Gotta get those gear ratios better.
Good to know and that is why I appreciate your authenticity. Too many “shiny” RUclipsrs.
❤
Amazing car!
Just too slow! Had to go with the c8 with all the bells and whistles 😎
Oh and the hardtop convertible of course. Golf clubs fit in the trunk too!
C8 is cool too! But the manual and lighter weight makes this feel so much more engaging.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed that’s fair. Would be perfect if it was manual. I wish the Emira made about 100 more hp!
@@ryants1 I’m sure a pulley and tune can make that happen!
Sleek
For sure! Great car!
for a car thats $$100k+ u would think the engine bay would look way nicer... reminds me of a 1980s mr2 engine bay looks like shit/plain
You see the nice looking supercharger. Not quite as nice looking compared to a Corvette. But keep in mind this is a small car with a pretty packed in engine setup
Buy a Supra or save up a little more and buy an Emira?
Well this is about twice the price. It is totally twice the car in a lot of ways. I could see Supra owners trading in to the Emira when they are looking to upgrade to the next step up in car. Certainly a fun car!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed I know it seems like an odd pair to cross shop but both tick off different dream car boxes for me.
Toyota makes the engine for this car. BMW makes the engine for the Supra. 🤔💙✌️
And they are both amazing cars! I wouldn’t let that stop you from buying one. Nothing wrong with that collaboration at all.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed I was thinking it would be rad, if this Lotus tuned engine came with the Supra.
@@rickjames6867 That would be pretty cool! I’ve heard rumors about a new MR2. So maybe we’ll see a budget Emira from toyota
Bmw 3 or 4 give u way better miles and same horse power.
This isn't even a competitor with any BMW. This is on par with a Porsche Cayman GTS. Totally different kind of car then a 3 or 4 series
