You are touching so many people’s lives. I’ve had multiple autoimmune conditions for nearly 18 years and you’ve helped give me the strength to actually kick myself up the bum and just do the AIP long term. Instead of a few days and fall off the wagon and eat a bit if chocolate 🍫 and have a few coffee ☕️ xxxx

Hey - your videos are extremely helpful am I’m very appreciative as I’m at the beginning of my AIP journey!
It would be amazing if you could make a video where you talk more about the social impact of the AIP diet. The diet is hard but the impact on your social life is rough and probably unexpected for a lot of people. So how do you approach weekends when family + friends are grabbing dinner and drinks? I’ve accepted that I will have to be the weird one eating beforehand and sitting at the restaurant to hang out // will have to pack lunches and meals for anything outside the home. Most people are supportive of my ‘strange’ health ways but I wanted your perspective having gone through much of what I will be.
I have Hashi’s too (acne + bloat + anxiety + irritability + fatigue + low energy + brain fog + poor short term memory - many of yours] and I’ve recently started the AIP diet, HOWEVER I think I will have to do lowFODMAP AIP which is stressing me out. I’m still experiencing bloat + fatigue during/after meals on AIP. There are tons of recipes for AIP but not lowFODMAP AIP - any recommendations?
How long did it take for you to experience some improvements as well as major improvement? Maybe I just need to give it more time before going full on lowFODMAP AIP…
    ***
Lastly, if you could do a video of your personal health timeline: when you started lowFODMAP AIP + when you noticed changes (and what changes through time occurred) + when you started introducing foods (what foods and what symptoms told you that your body couldn’t hand it) + how long it took for your body to get back to ‘normal’ after those flare ups) + etc.
I know everybody’s story is different but it would be so incredibly helpful if you could do that! It gives us hope and something to look forward to each step of the way!
I would truly appreciate you letting me know about the previous lowFODMAP questions! You’re the only person I’ve found who has openly discussed a lowFODMAP AIP diet! So you’re extra inspirational and helpful for my journey!!
Thank you for your videos! Literally everything you’ve shared is amazing!!

Mary Horsburgh thank you so so much! yes, i will try and make a video explaining my timeline, as well as the social aspects of aip, good idea. as far as aip/lowfodmap recipes, i worked with a nutritionist that made suggestions for a lot of my meals, but most of the time i would find aip meals on pinterest and then modify them to make them low fodmap. that worked out pretty well! it took me about a month to start noticing a difference in my symptoms. thanks for all the suggestions! i hope i helped a little!

Thanks for posting an update. So glad to hear you're feeling great! Your support has been awesome. It really gave me a push to start AIP back up in January, which has caused me to feel much better again... I also seem to feel much, much better getting back to doing activities and hobbies and feeling like I'm living my life like I was before. And, guess who's going to see The 1975 next month?!! So stoked! I'm so happy you posted that music video! 🎶💕

I am only 11 and I have Hashimoto's. I just got an ultrasound on Monday and I have three bumps (tumors?) on my thyroid... :(

    • @chloflow
      @chloflow  5 лет назад +1

Undiagnosed Sierra there is a chance that they might be nodules and not tumors. I would definitely communicate your concerns with your family and get as much help as you can 💗 a lot of these issues can be treatable

Ur completely right, there is no blanket treatment.
I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism 2 weeks ago and told to take synthroid. well 4 days of taking it (started Friday) and it sent my body for a COMPLETE loop. My left leg and arm (only left side) starting to feel numb and tingly on Tuesday I went to the ER thinking I had a heart attack but I was fine. Wednesday - Friday I was at the doctors office and my symptoms are so rare that my doctor had to have a meeting with 6 other colleges of his and they were throwing my case around in hopes that someone would know what was wrong with me. My doctor told me that in the 27yrs of him practicing medicine that he had never experienced a patient have such off symptoms on synthroid (or atleast thats what he thinks is causing it since he isn't 100%) sure. I'm pretty much a medical mystery... Doctor told me he was going to be researching and reading up books all weekend to see if he could find anything till Monday (tomorrow when I go see him again).
I feel pretty bummed given that I went from weightlifting for 2 1/2yrs being completely active, feeling 100% fine and now the last week I've been bed ridden hoping these pins and needles pain goes away.
Hopefully I hear good news, but ur videos have helped me a lot. Thank u so much, I don't feel so alone given that no one in my family has this.
    Thank you ❤️

Iris Highfill wow! yeah i've never heard of anyone having side effects from synthroid...my doctor even said it was "harmless" when she prescribed it to me. i am so so sorry to hear that. i know there are a lot of more natural/homeopathic options as well as other meds. i would definitely ask your doctor about them. i hope all gets better soon!
