@techcafe Its not all about the words of the speech, but the delivery, the pauses, the stress on words and other things. One of his most epic speeches was not written for him, but by him. The "randezvou with destiny" speech (spelling is wrong i think)

In practical terms, "Reaganomics" has to be considered one of the reasons that Reagan has come to be thoughtof as a great president. Reaganomics created an unprecedented period of economic prosperity.
It was only the Democratic-controlled congress' insistence on continuing to raise wasteful government spending beyond the means that even this economic boom would support that cut sort the prosperity that Reaganomics brought.

Reagan was a statesman the right man for the moment and a hero to many who lived under soviet might, the western world should be grateful and the US proud of this man.

these are the things EVERY president does. regardless of party affiliation. these actions do not acknowledge "right" or "wrong". There is a saying in intelligence circles and that is "you only hear about the failures of the CIA, never the successes". The only reason you hear about these particular actions is because they saw the eevning news. The History Channel interviewed one man who worked in intelligence and said "you cannot wear a white hat and work in this field".

True, but as hate speakers those who spout only violence and unfounded bigotry destroy their own credibility.

  • @Tommy1977777

every leader of every country does that. regardless of whether or not they are a democratic governement or on the opposite end of the spectrum. to assume otherwise is naive. governments operate on multiple levels of operation: they dont just fight for oil. not enough of a reason. it is A reason but the the sole reason. Reagan was a great president because he understood the world as it really was and thereby where it could go.

Free speech is free speech. All speech should be protected. You say "hate speech" should be reported as you define hate speech. The question is: who defines what is hate speech? And who will define what as "hate" in the future? Perhaps your speech in 40 years will be considered hate. It depends who is in power, and who defines hate. I say leave free speech alone, even if you dont like it. If you dont like it, dont listen, and walk away. you have that freedom.

-46.1% were over $28,048/yr, and another 46.2% were from $7,012-$28,048/yr, while only 6% were under $7,012/yr.
NOw I hear the liberals say that unemployment pays pretty well, that it is a real economy stimulator
That is why Nov 2010 went the way it did. And better yet... the reason 2012 is going to go exactly the same way hehehehe
