    Looking at the study (C. Petersen et al. 2019) what they appear to have found out is that Clostridia seems to compete for LCFA absorption in the gut, basically taking it for itself and therefore not allowing the host to absorb it, making it approximately equivalent to dietary/caloric restriction, which is not exactly groundbreaking (but still interesting, of course).

    Unless my life is at stake l would never take antibiotics. I'm 72yrs old and have not needed to see a doctor or taken any parma drugs in 20yrs.
