MONOLOGUE- SILENT VOLCANO

I performed my first monologue at The Monologue Circle organised by @bangalorelittletheatre. The theme was “Ahem”: open to interpretation.
My monologue was called “Silent Volcano”. For me, the silent volcano symbolizes Ahem, meaning ‘I am’-a quiet yet powerful presence. It holds immense strength, but doesn’t need to erupt to prove its worth, just as “Ahem” signifies self-recognition without seeking external validation.
In a world obsessed with doing, the silent volcano reminds us of the power of simply being. It teaches us that true fulfillment comes from inner stillness, not constant action. Like the volcano, we can stand firm-alive, steady, and unapologetically whole.
It wasn’t my best performance, but it was a step forward-an honest attempt. As someone striving to be an actor, this is about more than posting; it’s about confronting the fear of being seen and letting go of perfectionism. Acting, like life, is about showing up-vulnerable, real, and willing to keep trying. Here’s to embracing the journey and daring to be seen.
