i have a 2021 Adv r and a 2023 adv r, this is a impressive Bike. I love it. My 21er has 30000km not one single fault. My Son rides it now. The Seat is on all 890s not for hours of sitting. its the only thing i wish they do better, but i can live with it.
Try this... Go 120 and the sand up, you'll see how much cleaner the air is when you're fully clear of the motorcycle. I stand up on the freeway, even at 120, every few minutes to get a rest.
interesting, i will try it for sure. Honestly, i'm more worried about how loud it gets vs wind buffeting. I will ride on the highway next week. Let's see
@@JRidesTheWorld I agree... The sense you get is that your head is quite stable, at least it feels that way, but then when you stand up at those highway speeds, it really does show you how turbulent it is. That's why I suggest you try it, it feels like there's no buffeting, but there is still quite a lot. And yes, I agree 100%, so very loud - even with a great helmet and earplugs. Both the loudness and the turbulence are really noticeable if you stand and get out of the dirty air for a bit.
Ci do un occhio appena posso
@@JRidesTheWorld I’ve just put a deposit down on the same bike, I’m coming from an 1190R and I take my wife on the back for our holidays into Europe. So just wondered if you rode with pillion and luggage, that’s the reason I ask. 👍🏼
Uff this is a difficult one. I’m a huge KTM fan , but at the end of the day it depends on what you want to do with it. I would consider the T700 a easier Moto for beginners ( cheaper, less powerful) . But you are more than a beginner and want performance, than KTM is your choice. Hope this helps!
I agree this bike looks amazing from the side view. Like a full on rally bike basically. But the front still can take some improvement, then it would be the craziest looking bike in the class. Maybe one day if I got ride of my T7 I would try this one.

@@xXRedEyedStrangerXx yeah, it really depends on how much you use the Moto off-road vs road. The 890 on the road is slightly better than the t7, but certainly not the most comfortable.
@@JRidesTheWorld I am concern Just confort on road and wind protection. Because i will still do some road to get to back country roads or trails. I know i will loose a bit of both on the 890R.

I have a question for you. Since adding the tech pack while still being in under the trial demo miles range, does your dash still say demo at the moment ?
I have a 2022 and I absolutely love the bike. Like most stock bikes, it takes quite a bit of money to get them set up to really ride off road. By that I don’t mean fire roads, etc. by the time you set up ergos in protection your thousands of dollars in. If you’re lucky enough, you don’t need suspension tuning awesome but if you’re like me it’s gonna be another $800-$1000 to get it right. I will say once it’s dialed in this bike is surprisingly good off-road. That is where it shines.
@@JRidesTheWorld yes mate. Right in the face. A lot of people are saying it’s the stock mirrors causing it so I’m going to take them off and go for a ride.
@@JRidesTheWorld its a great bike, both on and off road, just need to make some changes. I think you should also decat your bike - will sound so much better the Akra pipe! A great video and great scenery. Well done.
There is no way a square sided screen can deliver a decent relatively quiet flow of air to your upper body. I’ve been involved with screens for 25 years, using, selling and modifying them and you need compound curves without sudden changes in the edge shape. You also need a cutout near the base to allow airflow up the backside. Bike manufacturers have NEVER put any importance on smooth airflow, similar to their disdain for comfortable seats. And rule 1 of bike riding, wear earplugs. Hearing loss is cumulative. This is a good presentation of how this screen performs in the real world and I find that virtually all bike journos ignore this issue at their press launches. They prefer to prove how clever they are doing endless standing opposite lock slides out of corners. Boring.
Ottima recensione!! Prossimo video assolutamente sulle sensazioni in fuori strada!!!
