If I were to choose between Buchardt & MUM. MUM every time. I've had Buchardt speakers before and they worked less time than they did due to various software issues. They were sent back. When they worked, they were great.
Nice review! I owned the A10 for 5 month now. They replaced my trusty Focal twin 6 be. They are vastly superior in my opinion. I tested them with XLR from my UAD apollo and also with the platin hub. It sounds better with apollo-spdif-platin-A10... more 3D, more refine. Probably because with the XLR you get double conversion: apollo DAC to A10 ADC - DSP - AMP - DAC. I have upgraded power supply on the platin hub and upgraded power cables on the A10. And I like to use the A10 room correction instead of Sonarwork. I prefer the « flat in room» mastertuning. I found the « nearfield» too hiped in hi-mid and hi and that tend to make my mixes dull... Incredible flexible monitor that come with an excellent DAC as a bonus (better than the UAD apollo DAC)
thats good to hear bro i love them. The near field has been working good for me so far because the bass is big in my room so it balances out the range. I havent heard any focals yet but am dying to hear the trio 6 be.
@@EpithetMusicTV it had 5 ms of latency. I can feel it when I play an instrument, but not when I mix or do mastering. When I play instrument, I use xlr connection from my UAD Apollo. In that case, I loose just a little bit of transparency and 3 dimensional effect + you need the platin hub to use the room correction which I like especially for mixing and mastering…
Good quality video .. Massive sound ( sorta wish the intro pop was a bit tuned down.. ) A10 .. Love these and the master tuning. Hoping to get a pair soon also.
Yeah I was looking for a classical song but couldnt settle on anything so I just went with this lol Thanks bro means alot. Yeah man buy there selfs they sound amazing but with a nice dac they sound insane. Like life like
@ju1ceaudio ...Nice. I like a bit of punchy / attention grabbing some times.. Have to serve the audience after all. Yes.. DAC or interface in-front can make a massive difference. 🙏🙏👍🏻👍🏻 ..Im sure Mads appreciates the words and insight you've offered. 👍🏻✌️
It would be great if you could make a ranking from best to worst of all the monitors you are analyzing, pros and cons. It would be of great help when purchasing. Thanks for the video and review
Another great review, as always. I've always had my eyes/ears on Buchardt's speakers, but I've been skeptical hearing reviews/impressions from audiophile and not producers or mixing engineers. Their active speakers with the bass driver on the back is another one of theirs I'm curious about. I'd love to know how do they compare to the Adam A8H's, the ATCs in the background and I'm eagerly waiting for you to get your hands on Neumann Kh310 monitors, to get your impressions of it, and maybe even compare them against the ATCs and these Buchardts.
Thanks bro! yeah all there other models are hifi specifically and they recommened the a10s because they are the only ones with a studio mastertuning. Yeah I want to get my hands on those neumanns forsure. They are easily the best 2 ways ive ever heard and once you get to 3-ways its a little different ball game. The adam are legit and get very loud but you cant have them to close to you and they are way bigger. They work better mid-field. So its more a trade off of size difference and preference. The ATCs are not my favorite in that room but the Ex-machinas I reviewed are crazy good in there. It just depends on your room.
thank you for the informative review! i really would like to know, how they compare to the A8H you reviewed? also, how is the latency on these monitors? could you produce on them? cheers
The bass extends lower on the A10s surprisingly, and they are way smaller. But you cant beat the mids on a 3 way atc. Of course the a10s are 1/4th Cheaper so they are amazing.
Everyone is talking about it ! Well I think I found my answer and will get one shortly - Now Im wondering how sick it could get if we put 1 of those on each side of our setup at the same level of the main speaker , basically extending a 2 way speaker to a Super powerfull 3 way @@ju1ceaudio
Well you only get 6db adding another sub so in theory you will be able to play louder cleaner. But i find this sub plays super loud before compression so idk if it would be worth it in my option. Of course i will be better but not by 2x
Nice review! I have the A10 in my recording studio for 5 month now. They replaced the Focal twin6 be that I used for 10 years. For roughly the same price, they are a BIG step up. I tested them with and without the platin hub. They sound less 3 dimensional when plugged with xlr from my UAD apollo. (Probably because of the double conversion: each speaker convert the incoming analog signal to digital and then DA after dsp and amp.) I tested those with good power cables and an upgraded power supply for the platin hub. This way I can use the room correction from the platin hub and don’t bother with soundID reference. The result is an outstanding stereo image and depth of sound stage. Personally I use the “ in room flat” mastertuning because with the near field I have a tendency to lower the hi mid and hi in my mixes. With the “flat in room” you hear very details, but not “boosted” in my opinion. The sub bass is just insane and you never doubt the crossover and amount of sub. Big thumb up to Buchardt to make such an outstanding product at this price with great customer service. By the way the price in Canada is taxe included!
the monitor looks so sick. the walnut one is my favorite.
Yupppp

Mine have no issues so far! I love them, the mums are very cool too.

How's the latency coming out the Platin Hub since I'm assuming it's a wireless connection to the speakers?
@@EpithetMusicTV using platin hub add aprox 5ms compare to direct wired connection ( that is aprox 3ms)

using it with the Kali ws.6 right now and it sounds crazy good. Set for life lol
Great review. Thx to MADs Buchardt what a great guy ❤
Thanks, yeah bro he's killin the game.

Hey I forsure will do that soon. I just have a few more in the Que at home to review then I will make that video. Thanks!

For the size ,the buchards out preform alot of speakers. But if you have a bigger box and need more spl the a8hs are good.
The latency is very low, not noticable at all so they would work great.
That cone surround of the speaker looks someone over heated them 😂
Its been Mathematically deep fried lol
Hi What brand and model are these stands that you have your Buchardt A10 mounted on? Thanks.
IsoAcoustics ISO-155 Studio Monitor Stand
Did you use sonarworks with mastertunings? ❤
Yes! I did sonarworks on top of the studio master tunings. It just helped level out the room a little bit.
how do they compare to the proff. monitors I see on the video?

what sub are you using ?
Kali audio ws.6, review will be dropping next week. it’s a killer sub, my favorite so far.

It could be done! I only have the one but its more than enough for me.
was not thinking about quantity , but quality of the representation by using 2. do you think this can help ?@@ju1ceaudio
