CCC Module 5 Overview

Week 5
In this module we will explore the social and racial dynamics of the south during the height of the Cotton industry.
We will begin by discussing the connection between capitalism and slavery and then address how the industry of cotton began to thrive. The ways in which this industry perpetuated a drive for productivity, also perpetuated growing notions of violence, racial tensions and oppression for African peoples.
