This works because we build our crates on the hard drive itself.
I am moving from an older hard drive to a NEW SSD to store my DJ music on, and we will be backing up our music from the original drive, and moving everything over to the new SSD to run as our official music hard drive in Serato.
Having a backup of your dj library is one of the single most important thing to do as a DJ.
I personally have 3 working backups of my hard drive, and than on internal and more spots.
There are lots of different ways to create a backup for your music drive, such as cloud and dropbox,
but i think having a hard copy backup is a very smart thing to do.

Told you to do a back up last year. Also it makes sense to make a back up in your cloud. Hard drives can fail especially in the elements or in a venue with drinks 🍹. Also it’s a good idea to put your go to songs on your computer drive. Loads much faster and helps incase your external stops working or you forget it. I used to DJ Witt external but I stopped unless I’m using a thumb drive for CDJ’s. Trust me I been through a lot👍🏽😁

I have like 4 different back ups,
But I never finally migrated to the SSD hahaha, I used it as the backup lol
Had to finally make the jump,
I was running some emergency music on the internal drive, but I'm going to run just off the SSD now
I don't see any difference in speed now on the SSD
And ya cloud backup for sure
i have 40tb of space on my computer so I got a few haha

@@TheDJConnect 💪🏽💪🏽 just one less thing to bring. External drives are back ups. Just delete songs you don’t really play. That’s why play count exists now. lol

      @@bboymac84 hahahah true that

      it for sure is possible,
but ripping off that bandaid.... I love my hard drive 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Jump to 4:27 if you want to hear about the hard drives or 6:50 if you want to get straight to the how to of the video title.
