Amelogenesis imperfecta is a congenital disorder characterized by improper formation of enamel of the teeth, which is not related to any systemic disorder or syndrome. The disease involves only enamel of the teeth, the rest of the tooth structures remains normal.

Thanks for the information, i have the type III on video, called "severe" here on brazil, good to see cientific explanations to my problem, 'cause all the dentists that i searched for didnt know how to explain me or many didn't even know that this kind of rare condition existed. Aesthetic treatments are very expensive and hard to find a solution.

Unfortunately, I don't know my type but 2-14 I had to be in the dentist at least once a month to have work done. Very truamatizing, especially nerve treatments but hey, perks of comforting the other kids when I was there is now I'm going to be a dental hygienist.
