We have an identical ships dog onboard the Downeast Rover Schooner in the Outer Banks in North Carolina. What kind of dog is he? We tell our guest Scuppers is a Puerto Rican Dolphin Terrier. He was an adopted street dog from PR.
Oh dear, the oven on Bessie Ellen is not burning cleanly. The orange flame is showing incomplete combustion and therefore carbon monoxide production. I hope all on board were safe and well.
@GoingTheWholeHogg Nevertheless, perhaps you could pass this on: Statement from the Chief Inspector of Marine Accidents: "It is commonplace for marine engines, generators, cookers and heaters to produce carbon monoxide during normal operation; amateur installation and un-serviced appliances can introduce the risk of boat users inhaling lethal levels of this toxic gas. The importance of checking the installation and routine servicing of all such devices by a professional cannot be overstated." Even when CO alarms are fitted, it would be irresponsible to rely on them when there is a known fault arising from improper fitting or servicing of a fuel burning appliance. 😢 I am a retired Boat Safety Examiner and have come across CO monitors/alarms that have failed to work. I'd hate to be reading a MAIB investigation report about this in the future.

There's nothing tougher than a good Captain of a ship. The lad was a future.
Suspect you meant ' the lad has a future'..❤
@@canyonhaverfield2201 No. By was a future meant was the future; which is all good for young 'un's looking for a life at sea.

That’s great! Brilliant name too! Bracken is a Jack Russel Border Terrier cross, a real character 😃

All well, they have alarms and monitors for all of that and there are no issues 🙂
