Thanks so much for your fabulous documentation of this suberb old ship. Really loving every post. So great getting to know her and being able to sail along with you all. ❤
The hours of work that must have gone into editing this film (having spent weeks filming) makes my head hurt. Congratulations and thank you for not drowning it in too much music.
Absolutely fantastic wish I could have been with you all for this wonderful trip. Good luck for you as you leave the Cymru and best wishes for your ongoing voyage. We should treasure our heritage these vessels are living legends xxxxxc

Thank you so much for a wonderful video about a fantastic journey! If I may make one suggestion though; for those who may be hard of hearing or don't speak English as a first language, like myself, it would be of great help to include subtitles on screen for sections with radio conversation like at minute 20:30 as it can be rather difficult to understand what is being said on the other end due to the white noise that comes with the transmission of the message. I am looking forward to follow this incredible journey and hope you will give Bracken some extra belly rubs and head scratches from me. All the best.
Thanks for watching and we're very happy to have you following along with the journey! I type up all the subtitles in English, and these can be viewed by turning on the captions or you can auto-translate into many different languages. I didn't include the subtitles for the section with the radio because I couldn't fully understand what was being said either, it was something to do with calling him back once we could see the water and then he would open the bridge. We look forward to sharing another film with you soon! All the best, Kim
Great video. Good choice of music, not too much explanation of everything we see, lovely snatches of real life on the boat. Are you going to do a boat tour?
Thanks Roger, glad you enjoyed both the style and content of the video. We’ve previously done a boat tour video which you can see here: Boat Tour (Tall Ship Bessie Ellen, 1904) ruclips.net/video/71AjdJnWp20/видео.html
Thanks! Yes, there will be some Bessie Ellen T-shirts and other items including a calendar available very soon on the Bessie Ellen website. Hopefully the shop will be live within the next week or two!
Hello, just to let you know that the Bessie Ellen shop has just gone live! You can shop here and all proceeds go towards maintenance and repairs on BE - bessie-ellen.com/shop/ Thanks! Kim
Wow! Only just discovered this, so something in the You Tube algorithm is working. I see the video was posted 4 days ago, but what date was it as you were setting off, please? I'm trying to work out when you will cross paths with Florence - Matt and Amy going round the other way. They are (in current episodes) on Skye, in midsummer.
Hi Roger, great to have you onboard! We set off from Gloucester on April 19th. Not entirely sure when we would’ve crossed paths with those guys but Bessie Ellen was sailing off the coast of east England in Midsummer.
Hi Nick, that’s a dream we can totally understand. If you head over to the Bessie Ellen website - bessie-ellen.com/ - you’ll find contact details for Nikki there. All the best 🙂

Not what I would call sailing
Got to do the motoring part first before the sailing can happen
If only someone clever could integrate all means of transport, some views you get huh....
