Almost as ridiculous as claiming that winning a Euros(without contributing in the final) and winning the Nations League is comparable to winning the World Cup and Copa America(while being the best player in both tournaments).
Did you watch Ronaldo at United at age 36? If he'd gone to Miami he'd have spent most of his energy on whining about his teammates not putting the ball on a plate for him, and taking too long to get a shot off even the few times they did. He had the chance to age gracefully and transition into an impact substitute and role model for the younger players, but instead he chose to show the world what those of us who have been paying attention knew all along: he's a narcissist who only escapes being the biggest one around because Trump exists.

Zlatan was your best transfer scoring 53 in 2 seasons, except for zlatan all of these "legendary' players scored only a percentage of the "100 goals a season" you claim they would score in mls, but go off king.

Messi makes football so beautiful and I never liked football before but when I started in 2018 I used to cry watching his dribbling, his passes and the how he plays football is insane - I don't think any player will dominate football like him. The way the news reporter phrased his sentence 7:55 would lead most people to believe what you thought as well. But knowing football and how absolutely impossible of a feat last to first place would be in just 7 games even for someone as great as Messi, I had to do some quick research.

I'll be legit with you guys. I'm canadian, soccer or football wherever you stand on the name isn't in my DNA. Hockey is. But I discovered a sport because of one unique individual. Tennis, and the guy is Federer. He made me love the sport beyond what I'd expect growing up, I never played tennis.
But I did play soccer.
As an average canadian fan, I followed especially the big moments in soccer history. So I sat a couple of times to watch an entire match...a couple.
Every time I saw Messi on the screen, he made me feel like Federer made me feel. I had no clue what was going on, but seeing those guys, I knew I was witnessing something special.
I just finished the series on Netflix about the World Cup, gave me the taste of a bit more. So i'm here watching videos of Messi. He really is an artist, he's elegant and he's inspiring.
There are really just a few of athletes that can send a vibe like this. I'm so grateful i'm in the era of seeing Messi on the field.
I'm just sad it took me so long to realize how special he was.
