At first he thought the only way would be to become good, that way he could stop the fighting and just relax. Then as he understands the quantum masks powers more, he realises that he doesn't have to change his personality, he can go back in time and change everything so that he still has an army of minions for world domination but no Crash to stop him.
I remember naughty dog devs saying this was the original ending they wanted for crash 1 but couldn't pull it off due to hardware limitations. So happy to finally see the true ending in all its glory, good job you're doing God's wok.

This episode was alright, but I really think Crash went downhill after the “Warped” arc when Coco started developing feelings for Crash. Crash N Sane Trilogy KAI was pretty good too. I’m getting the vibe from the new season that they’re returning to form.

Representative of a core part of human nature, he was blinded by ambition, jealousy and hatred and sook power over love and living life with those who loved him. Crash represents God and the possibility of good in humanity, although he sees and acknowledges the corruption of Vortex and despises it, he still never puts Vortex (or anyone for what mater) below himself and will always have his arm stretched out to help them.
This is actually how the original Crash Bandicoot was gonna end, but it was a dollar over budget and everyone had just spent all their spare change in the lobby on the Battletoads Arcade Machine before the meeting, so they had to tone it down.
