Just looked at Ford Ranger XL/STX today. Basic truck with some mild sporty flair. Tows 7500 lbs. 1699 lbs of payload! Outstanding. Less than $39K. Not too bad. It is obvious that it is a base truck, but I am impressed with its capabilities.
Looks like a nice truck, too nice. It used to be that people that bought Rangers just wanted a cheap truck: a basic entry level truck. I wonder if it's even possible, in today's market, to buy a base Ford Ranger?
It definitely was a very nice truck. But I also miss the size and function of the 3rd gen Rangers and S10 type trucks. I know they weren’t safe at all, but they were still cool. 🤪
@@AutomotiveAnonymous208 The car makers, along with the dealers, seem to be pricing the ordinary buyer out of the market. I think the government is playing a big role in all this with the "Green New Deal" and their premature push of EVs. The car makers get massive subsidies from the government so they don't really care how many cars they sell. They're happy just selling to the people who are willing to pay the huge prices. Take it or leave it; the government will bail them out.

That does sound like a nice practical truck!
Im waiting for the 2.7L version
That’s gonna be a sweet truck!

👍🏻👍🏻
👍 👍
Ford never gets the interior right and it’s over priced and they wonder why sales are terrible!
