    • @kubotajordan9502
      @kubotajordan9502 5 лет назад +1

      I run heavy equipment big skids steers with davco mowers on them you better be watching your temp gauges. On any tractor with constant hyd flow it will raise your temps. If you are running a rotary mower on the back of your tractor at the same time to cut up the limbs it really raises your temps when it hot outside. I have a 44" front mounted mower attachment that goes on the side of my bucket for trimming lims up to 2" it works good. Its only works in vertical position its not as nice as this one I really like this one how you can change it from horizontal to vertical easily. y'all have a good product there yall should make one beefy enough for a skid steer the davco only works horizontal postion is a 1000 lbs of bad ass .The blades run about 1200 bucks . What does one of these run?

      Unless you blow out your relief valve.
      Most sub-$50K tractors don't have more than about 17hp of hydraulic power assuming 12gpm @2900psi, so you're not going to get the cutting power of a PTO unit.

    • @billy-zx10r
      @billy-zx10r 5 лет назад

      MotivatedMetalworks right, but as long as someone keeps their trials cut pretty frequently it won’t have a problem cutting small- medium limbs high or low👍

    I like the side configuration for roadside without requiring a side mower. That should be good for getting close to fence lines as well.
    Daniel, when you trim oak branches from the end rather than at the collar at the trunk you will kill the trees. They will begin to die from the top dozen inside to out. For oaks that you trimmed with that Lane Shark that you do not want to die, you should get out there and trim those same branches back to the trunk with a pole saw. Otherwise, disease will set in. For some reason this happens with oak trees and not most other tree species.

  • @PlanetMojo
    @PlanetMojo 5 лет назад

    Around here they use a similar but much bigger rig to trim the roadsides -- grass, trees, brush, it hogs it;s way through just about anything. They mount it to an articulated arm, and reach into tight places and way down the sides of the steep hills around here. The first time I saw what it did as it passed through -- I could not for the life of me figure out what could do what it did.
