Big risk does not always = big reward. With that said, it definitely was a huge risk and paid off, but that success was not guaranteed.
He was definitely lucky, but also had the preparation and skills to be ready to accept that luck.

Honestly, karl is definitely one of the *beast* crew member because jimmys videos back then was like chill, funny giving/spending money, building stupid stuff type of videos and when karl came, he gave a energetic, sometimes cringe ngl, new humor atmosphere, and I genuinely like stuff like these. Idk why people dislike him, he's a great person and energy spreader.

Many consider this as a jackpot, but I don't really consider this as a jackpot, instead, a gamble. He saved up his earnings and dropped out of (probably) college to be a mrbeast's editor. Winning a jackpot, at times you probably only risk a few dollars to get the jackpot but Karl gambled it all. He deserves this spot, even if I don't like his quirky humor
