You all are amazing! Thank you for all your kind, kind words and thank you SO much for subscribing! We were really disappointed that this loaded two parts so we HOPE you will watch Part TWO! And be sure to subscribe and binge watch all of Everyday Château before Season Two begins in January of 2019~ Blessings!
www.fabricguru.com/silk-fabric/beacon-hill-beaumar-italian-printed-silk-drapery-fabric-antique.html I was just shopping on fabric guru and got you in my recommendations. Love your style. Check out this silk Italian fabric for $18 a yard.... I live in door County also. Maybe one day if I ever open my dream business “painted furniture and up cycled decor” we will bump into each other. 😊
In New York, this style was popular about 20 years ago. Then white kitchens swept in. And after that, modern farmhouse and sleek Scandinavian and other clean lines and minimal reveals. But what's nice is that this French Country style is still very popular in France and it is warm and cozy, very conducive to cooking, dining, hanging out and enjoying company
You have really inspired me! I do not have a lot of money to spend to start my French Renovation of my cookie cutter home, but I will start with one piece. I ordered some green velvet ribbon, to hang my wreaths with, for $8. I also purchases a small dish for my jewelry, with Courtesan dressed ladies dancing about, as the print. $9. I also ripped up a very haggard drop cloth, that has been washed many times, and made a small curtain for my kitchen. 1 piece at a time!
You and Shaye have inspired me. When I moved to my own place a few years ago I bought a ton of antique/vintage furniture out of sheer necessity and not being able to afford brand new furniture, however I'm finding myself drawn more and more to old/found furnishings and decor that reminds me so much of my childhood. I love being able to play with my spaces and making it unique.
I simply LOVE all your knowledge you have and are willing to share. My mother never had a lot of money but, she always found beautiful dishes with flowers, dollies and many other things such as table clothes that she washed with love and ironed. Who knew that, it is the look that people are trying to get in there homes now. You have made me very happy. I have saved many of her precious things she acquired many years ago.
Angela , just want to say thank you for letting me in your house to watch you and your our family grow, you get me to clean and make mail home beautiful too , yes I am inspired , but take me shopping with you .
Well thank you! I love to know that the French style is on point. I've spent a lot of time in France but of course this is my interpretation. Thanks for your kind works.
Oh wow what a marvellous way to live and bring up yr children. How can anyone do a thumbs down.. this world needs people like you with kindness positive outlook and a lovely home and family. I love yr style it’s so so unique. Yes may you grow to old lady in yr fabulous home. From knott end on sea England blessed b 🧚
We all have what people are touting is farm house or French country, truly just a fad , and we are happy with it , but this is truly more authentic French farm house . It is just lovely !! Enjoy your videos!
Hi! I came to your channel from the Homemaker Chic podcast - which I LOVE. I just had to stop and say... OMG you are GORGEOUS! I'm a 25 year old farm girl and you and Shaye have been amazing inspiration and role models for me. I love y'all!
This is such a good video I think you should do it over again bc of the audio. I love your frugalness & ingenuity! But I just listened to it with earphones! I heard it all! The kale with the lavendar spikes is not only beautiful, when your making dinner you just grab the kale which is fresh in the water!
I love French Country too! I love watching all your videos and always get excited to see the next one. Your home is so warm and welcoming. You are so talented! You have such great vision for your home and your garden. Your home will be absolutely beautiful when you are done.
Goodness, thank you so much. The sound was bad on this video because it was filmed "pre expensive mic" and so I really appreciate those kind words because so many people complain. LOL. I do appreciate the encouragement. It's my heart to encourage women to make their surroundings full of the people and things that they love.
Wow, what a great video... very relaxed and inspiring..My new kitchen is being installed this week and I can’t wait until this major process is over and I can incorporate some of these idea’s..Thank you.🙌
It's just amazing how you have the strength to take care of your family and home. It's wonderful how you homeschool your children and come up with all this talent in homemaking along with the gardening. It's also good to have a talented husband. May the Lord be with you and your family in this wonderful journey! 🏡🏡💕
Absolutely beautiful. Love your kitchen - and that sink! So far from my modern Norwegian kitchen - which I sproozed up with a lovely mustard color on the walls, against grey cabinets. Absolutely a beautiful combination. Let there be color! :D
Before you said that mantle was a door- I was just going to say a scrap door is what I am planning to use for shelving- :-) I LOVE this kitchen and (pray for me) hoping to buy a small house and it needs remodel. :-)
I had to figure out how the internet works just so I could comment. 😉 I have binged on your channel and made my husband watch the episode about the faux fireplace-I'm smitten! I love how you have dialed back the calendar with your home! We're trying to do the same with our 1920s bungalow. Some misguided soul home-depoted the mess out of our home and it makes me so sad! Anyway, just wanted to let you know how much I love your home and I think toile is on my shopping list!
I love the yellow cabinet with your dishes in it. Do you remember what kind of paint you painted that with? And what shade of yellow? I like the subtleness of that yellow. It looks like such an old antique shade of yellow. I have a cabinet that I might like to paint that color. and is that a gray color under the yellow or maybe a light blue color?
I’m sure all that old stuff has old smells too. Lol. My hubby hates that. We love a lot of older things too but I’m allergic to mild so I have to be carful with fabric pillows and furniture
The green and your toile curtains in your sitting room are gorgeous.... I have that toile fabric.... I purchased it a few years ago....I need to do something with it....that green...yum!
Thank you! I'm trying to figure out which ones your talking about. LOL. I hope you subscribe and enjoy the other episodes. Don't forget the newsletter too:) (See description)
Just discovered you-you are so fun to hang out with,..especially during these very odd times-I love the Toledo scale-I kinda found one, but want to know what you needed to figure out before having it in your kitchen-like the weight of it-were you concerned about what you put it on, or that it was too top heavy and could fall??? The dimensions are huge too and I am trying to get a sense of other items that may surround it......it is like 2 ft high!!!-I want to make this work,..and you, my dear,..are to blame- ;) he he,...
Vicki, while we've JUST invested in a new mic that should arrive any day, you should still be able to hear this. Double check the volume icon that is on your RUclips screen, next to the play button once the video starts as well as your computer volume.
I turned the volume up then it got too loud so I turned the volume down. The sound then got too quiet so I turned the volume up then it got too loud so... etc., etc., etc.
I have noticed in your videos in which you are touring part of your house or your garden that the camera is almost always pointed at you, gorgeous as you are, while you are talking about something in the room. I’d like to see the item you’re talking about while you’re talking about it. For instance, when you mention the”things within easy reach”, the Louis chair and the yellow cabinet, I want to see those while you’re describing them with enough distance see what you see front m your vantage point. I’d also like to see less close-up and a little more overall views of furniture, cabinets and of the whole kitchen. You can see it but we can’t. Your kitchen looks like it is beautiful, but I want to see the whole picture, the whole “painting” of your textures, colors, and collected items. I’d also like to know what you did to the walls. You showed yourself scraping off wallpaper. Then I saw you nailing up copper on what looked to be a plaster Wall. What did you do to the walls? What color are they? I also want to get on board with the group of people who do not enjoy the out of focus look. It’s frustrating. Do you want us to see it or not? All this criticism is meant to be helpful. I love your channel, your vision, and the French country farm lifestyle. I can’t wait to see more. I hope you are not offended by my commentary. Au revoir!
@kathyferguson I know your comment is from a year ago but I was scrolling the comments to see if anyone had mentioned these things.. I couldn't agree more! And let's not get started on the audio, which needs to be addressed as well.
The smaller scales that you have. Is the color the original color? or did you paint it. All the ones that are similar, that I have found have been the more industrial kind of colors. Grays, black, or some kind of metal kind of color. I was thinking if I found one that I liked, I could paint it.
I have the same bread cabinet but it won't fit under my cabinets. I was so sad when it wouldn't fit. I have to figure out where to put it. I picked up some copper this week at the thrift store. 7 pieces under $10.00. So I've started my copper accent wall. Talking about you on my blog this Sunday. (Let's Add Sprinkles) I tell everyone about your channel.
TO DIE FOR AND YOU MADE ME CRY BECAUSE IT IS SOOOOO BEAUTIFUL!!!! I have so many problems keeping me from attaining anything like this in my kitchen, like black granite countertops, white thermopane cabinets that people tell me can't be painted or antiqued, and black granite that goes from the countertop to under the cabinets, all the way up. I thought about using the teal wallpaper you recommended on your site to cover that backsplash, what do u think? I will be watching this every day for more ideas, in the meantime, I am gonna go cry again. You have the touch, a magical one, Angela. Oh by the way, you have never been more beautiful. xxxxxxx I am gonna share this all over. Plus, did you do the drawing of your farmhouse? I love it. Do you have a pantry for all your canned goods?

I was an ex-pat in France for three years. Your home actually brings back memories. Thanks for sharing.

I bought it from RUclips's inventory.
where do I find reproductions?
Sound is terrible.
You have very good ideas.
go to amazon and buy a lavalier lapel mic not overly expensive

I get most my music now from RUclips's Epidemic Sound.com
