The kitchen looks as tho it's always been this way, you've accomplished a period look that suits it perfectly. After watching the baking challenges on Netflix I'm in love with that oven, hope to find a dealer here in the states. And that faucet, what a game changer, love how that works too, never seen one with a quick connect adapter, genius.

Maddy, I have watched you since you were in your parents holiday home, and its been amazing to watch you grow and evolve over the years. I felt like in the past you were hyper focused on minimalism, sustainable living etc., to (from what I can see) a more balanced approach, which seems to bring you a lot of joy and fulfillment (and I assume less stress). I think its so relatable to see you evolving and changing to find a lifestyle that works for you, while be conscious of how you are living. Thank you for sharing your journey and to normalize that yes, you can grow, evolve, change your perspective on things, as we are just learning and trying to do our best. You seem really happy and a lot more comfortable in how you are choosing to live your life, and its lovely to see. GO YOU!
Thank you so much for this perspective. A lot of people seem to be angry with the fact I've grown up, changed and evolved over the years, but you've summed it up perfectly. Back then I was learning, copying, trying to mould myself to others, searching for who I was. Now I am older I have found myself, grown closer to myself and learned to love myself a whole lot more! Balance is exactly the word and I am so proud of myself! Thank you so much for the thoughtful and kind comment. I am so much more comfortable in myself, my skin and how I am living!

Its such important work because if you don't learn to love yourself first, when someone says unkind things, its so much easier to believe its true. And to those unkind folks I ask "do you have a lot of the same opinions and ideas as you did 10 years ago?" Or, "is learning and growing a bad thing?" They would likely say "nope, and I have learned a lot over the past 10 years, and some of my ideals have shifted, or my lifestyle is different" So (to me) those comments often hold no weight and are coming from a different place (and lets face it, when you are young, who hasn't tried to be something they are not, we are all HUMAN). You should be proud of yourself, and this is also coming from someone who isn't a vegan, BUT from watching your videos, I feel like I can do a better job at understanding where my food comes from, thinking in a more ethical and sustainable way and asking more questions. Thank you (as well) for making this a welcoming space, and so happy to hear that you are living true to who YOU ARE.

I love the farmhouse aesthetic but in the US it tends to mean A LOT of white and I don’t like that but this kitchen speaks to me. Thank you so much for posting this. I think farmhouse should be soothing and natural
This is my favourite kitchen makeover I've ever seen. The only thing I would have done differently is to hang those copper pans a little higher. Everything is perfect and absolutely beautiful. I love the calm greens and the fresh whites. I love the traditional mixed with just the right amount of modern.
Please research how to discourage your kitties from scratching that stunning table, they will ruin it eventually.

The kitchen is beautiful. I love it. I also love the wood and stone, and the green. Here in the United States if it is labeled farmhouse, it is usually everything painted white and boring. This is so much better. It looks so warm and inviting. Great job.

Your kitchen is so warm and cozy. What a beautiful workspace! I'm also glad to know we aren't the only ones whose fridge is dominated by jars of condiments, pickles and jams 😂. I ended the frustrating task of finding things, by purchasing shallow rectangular trays. They are the width of most jars and the depth of my fridge. Now things are grouped and it's a breeze to get the items I need. Especially helpful for my son's hot sauce collection lol. Glad I found your channel. 💜

Beautifully done. Love that the fridge and freezer are integrated with the cabinets. It was wise to double glaze the windows. The soft green on the cabinets is lovely and the counters will not stain as marble will. kudos!

Nice kitchen and video. You better let heat the under your window bank ( vensterbank in Dutch) out, between the window and the window bank/sit. Radiators are supposed the create a curtain of warmth in front of a window to keep the cold out and the warmth in. Like the heat curtain of a shop when you enter it.
