Looks like some of you early viewers had no audio. Upon reflecting - RUclips was acting VERY strange when we were uploading and I'm assuming that caused problems for early viewers, but it's all good now. Thank you for being here! I hope you get a chance to try again.
We did that 40 years ago , bough a 1920 house and moved it on our lot,,we did it all from they foundation, electric, carpenter, painting, landscape, and plumbing and was a great house for our family for many years.
Having the right partner makes all the difference!!! You two work amazing together! It's nice to have this documentary for yourselves. Wow. What a labor of love.
I loved this so much getting to watch it all from the beginning. I had to laugh because I didn’t realize that was a Lowe’s truck-I thought it was delivering all the goats until Joel said thanks to Lowe’s. 🙃
Angela, this is a great memory... Life before the modern plague... The World is a much different place on so many levels... Having recorded memories is even more precious💞
Loved this video! I have to say, seeing the kiddos so little hurts my heart a little. It reminds me of how fast my own are slipping through my fingers. Seeing Jr hug his daddy😭, so sweet!!!!
Angela, this is such a great video… it just make me really think about stickiness, what I mean is, when a family stick together through everything, even renovating a house, they can do everything!!!
Angela…I have been obsessed with your kitchen since last week’s house tour. I can’t get over how insanely beautiful, and French, and delicious it is. There have been so many wonderful additions and changes. I would love to see more about how you achieved this look. You’re kitchen is my inspiration for how I want my kitchen to look and feel. 💕
You both have accomplished so much; the kitchen looks completely different and beautiful. However, I think these videos will get even more precious as time goes by. I can't believe how tiny Junior was! Thanks for sharing with us Angela!
I loved seeing your little babies. They do grow so quickly. Before I knew it I was old and mine were middle aged and then you wonder where the time went. Make the most of every day.
So enjoyed watching this flashback, especially since I'm a newer viewer. I was on a similar path to your familiy about 15 years or so ago, except with the wrong partner, so it's sometimes bittersweet to watch. Even so, I have shared your videos with my daughter. I have wondered how you make such wonderful videos... camera (camera person?) microphone, and editing. So beautiful!
Hi Angela, I remember on one of your videos your little boy Junior sat on your knee and he gently moved your hair aside and snuggled into your neck. It was such a lovely picture of the two of you. I'll never forget it.
So glad that your home is where it's at but oh my if those children were little again they were so precious!I loved watching them on your vlogs.Enjoyed this Thank you so much
Absolutely loved this video. I used to watch your videos over and over. Loved watching the children growing up. You and Joel have done a fantastic job making the eco house look like a beautiful country home. The kids will love coming back home when they leave the nest. Thank you for a walk down memory lane. ❤️
Oh my gosh, this video was so enjoyable...Junior is killing me. I laughed so hard watching his little self meandering around the kitchen wearing his big ole boots and a diaper and some big tool in his hand almost as big as him....so cute. And when you were trying to shush the kids and said "hold on, dad's trying to complete a thought", well that one did me in....I tell you I have tears in my eyes...lol other than thatttt, you guys did a great job replicating your kitchen.
I watched this 4 1/2 years ago and your channel from the beginning. I do miss seeing Joel at work. Yes, babies grow too fast! Such an accomplishment all around. Good job! BTW I liked the bangs 😉
Been with you since the early days and the transformation is mind blowing .the most beautiful kitchen! Rustic and stunning at the same time. You have the best vision.
Thank you for sharing your lives. I just happened upon your channel and I watched your bread cooked in a Dutch oven and I honestly thought that you were in France. Now I’m here watching more. Your family is awesome! I was got to ask if you had honeybees and then I saw your goats and I’ll be subscribing because, I want to see more. For some reason your lighting in the greenhouse really piped. Thank you.
Love going down memory lane with you ! I have followed you from the beginning and still love you and your beautiful family. The house has come so far and absolutely love it 🥰
Don't apologize for the audio in those old vlogs. If that is what people are focusing on, then they must have some very petty empty lives. I remember those videos! I loved the construction work! So many times you helped me get over the overwhelmed feeling of my own home building projects and got me motivated again. And I'm still not done!! LOL. I guess I'm more about the heart, than the audio.
Love every single bit of this!! You look fabulous, Angela!! Let’s have a video about your workout plan! 🏋️♀️🚣♂️🤽🏼♀️🏄♀️🚴♀️ All the best wishes for continued success on your French Château in Door County!! I’ll honk while driving north this weekend to the Northwoods . Julie 🌷
I can't count how many times I have watched your old videos...The Best! Thank you for a lovely recap!...I love these compilations...and I laughed at your comment on the Cosmos stove...Yes...Let everyone know it's un morceau de garbage!!!! ♥ BTW Are you thinking of letting your hair grow long again?
Have you and Shaye every thought of designing your own aprons? Maybe you do your own French inspired and Shaye could do her own Italian countryside inspired?
Joel looks like he's hesitant, but compliant with every reno/idea you gave him to task. Looking back, is he now happy to have done what you told him? What projects was he most hesitant that he still hates, and which projects did he later concede were your best ideas? You are a genius in "seeing" things designed as they should be, not how they are.
I just came in from barn chores, where I was listening to "Advocating for your creativity" on the podcast. You know this time of year is almost overwhelming, and listening to your melodic voice really grounds me, so thanks for coming along with me on my birthday!! Another beautiful video, and that distiller is very interesting!! Will be checking that out- we have very hard water! (And btw, the sound is just fine. Its wonderful that you're putting out videos while you're busy getting ready for Paris. Thank you for that!😘)
(Parisian farm girl,) I have a question, obviously the Midwest United States is not France, what is it that got you in to French culture? And also French European style for your home? Was it all the old style movies? Or have you been to France? I live in upstate New York. I appreciate the old European style that you have. You obviously have talent. My style is sort of a mishmash between French cottage/british cottage/ American farmhouse. Although I live in a 1980s townhouse I have tried to make it have an old fashioned feel and cozy ness that is so timeless of the rural from 1920s to 1950s ish with just a splash of the late 19th century row house. Being someone who loves us history and world history. I appreciate The classic old style and ideas on here. Thank you and God bless! Aaron
How do you deal with the grease everywhere on walls etc? When our overhead fan broke we noticed it started to accumulate everywhere even on the other side of the kitchen!
If you have problems with your new stove who will come out to fix it. I want one but I am thinking logical if I have problems with it a few years down the road

When your videos have a focus on you & the kids, as today's did, what I always see is a great Mom at work.
Angela, this is a great memory... Life before the modern plague... The World is a much different place on so many levels... Having recorded memories is even more precious💞
Your children are so delightful. I’ve always loved how you involve them and teach them to help out.
Loved this video!

You've done a great job putting your stamp on the kitchen. I wish you long years of happy cooking ! 🙂
I just purchased a water distiller and I love it. Coincidence it’s the same brand.
I remember watching these 4 years ago! So fun to see again. Amazing transformation. Thanks for sharing
