Angela, first off, I Love the pace you chose to take us on the tour... Second, Love the navy curtains... I appreciate having to block the heat of the day at the expense of the view (I leave mine open overnight to enjoy my view at first light, before the oppressive heat besets the space)... Third, Loving the new orientation of your office, being able to look out of the window in a sense expands the space... 4th, the blue & gold stove; the coffee station; placement of the tree in the doorway... Such a beautiful home. I have some questions? How do you raise 6 children with all your treasures decorating every surface and wall. Don't things get broken, chipped or damaged? Who in the world does all your dusting? It must be a full time job?
Yep Homemaker Chic Podcast is the place to be for all stories of broken treasures. HAHA. But yes, we're normal. The cat barfs on my rugs, the kids break my stuff, it gets super messy every day and then tidied up before bedtime. As pretty as it is, it's just stuff but it's a chance to teach them about respect and being aware of other people's feelings, their surroundings, organization, investing in quality pieces, etc. But you can't take it with you:)
I can’t speak for Angela, and I only have three children, but in all honesty, the only precious things that have ever been broken in my household have been by myself. When children grow up with pretty things around them like that, it is fairly easy to train them to treat them nicely. As for the dusting…it happens monthly or seasonally for me, not something I can handle weekly.
Love the old world feel you have incorporated in your home. I like that look also but only have been working on making a front room into a French dining room. It's fun and time to redo. Thanks for sharing.

I have a iconvection oven now for a long, long time. My oven went out I am thinking about 11 or 12 years ago. The stove top works. It is gas. Hope and pray some day to have a real oven again.. So glad you got yours. Yea!!!!!!!
