I never thought there would be so many combination possibilities... You could probably wear the green shirt dress open as a layer over the ivory or khaki dress as well. I love this creativity - it makes me feel like playing dress up as a kid (my sister and I had a huge box of old clothes, dresses, scarves, hats, etc from my mum and aunties that we would play with).
I love it 😍😍 especially because you described the purpose of every single piece! And that is an example for autumn type. I would definitely buy the boho dress if it was available for Europe
Well done! Your picks for patterns and prints etc. were so nice - made me think of looking for more diverse styles of dresses 👍 and to challenge myself to wear the ones I have more :)
Great for summer, and in fact that is all I wore last summer. In winter I live in jeans, and would only wear one of the dresses with tights and a cardigan if I had to dress up for some social occasion (not happening during covid). 🙂
discovered that my personal uniform were 4 types dresses with a straight silhouette. A print dress , a denim style Dress , a cotton tank style midi dress, and a shirt dress. I used to think that my personal uniform should be pants based, but I never felt comfortable in them and I seem to work really hard to make them look good. I was always trying to make them feel feminine. Recently when I thought about how I dress when I am home relaxing, I realized that I never wear pants. I also love the spring and summer because I only wear dresses in those seasons. I have decided to let go of pants and jeans as necessary to a capsule wardrobe and I feel liberated. I feel clear and getting dressed is so easy.I wear fleece tights and knee boots with either a long duster cardi or a blazer as a top layer with a warm coat and I am toasty even when it hit teens. It took me awhile to come to this. I had spent so much money following the advice of influencers who insist that being chic requires a white button down an jeans or trouser. I am so glad to find this video? Your choices reflect my own wardrobe but I have 10x the amount, and I wear and love every piece. I also only have two turtleneck dresses one is navy and the other is a bright orange sleeveless one. For some of my button down shirt-dresses I sometimes unbutton to the wais, belt it and wear a different color silk tank top for contrast and variety.
Yay, a dress-only wardrobe! Skirts and tops work for me, too, but the only pants I like are my silk cargo joggers. Thanks for putting this together, I’m so sick of “capsules” that have jeans in every outfit, I hate them.

super good video. You should do more videos like, capsule for different persons, like winter colors, summer colors, girly girls, tomboys, work-from-home persons, etc. It'll make s good series.
I’m a dress girl, and an autumn, so I love this! I love shirt dresses especially, because the belt is flattering. That slip dress is absolutely stunning, but I wouldn’t be brave enough to wear it. I wear sweaters as tops, but I’ve never thought of doing it with a cardigan… I think subconsciously I worry that the buttons would open!

Fernanda, I was completely blown away by this video. Wow. Seriously. I have been studying, taking expensive courses, watching videos for 2 years now and I am in complete awe of this work. Excellent!! If this was in my color season I would be clicking links like crazy. I will still do that to see if there are color options. Thank you so much. Would you consider doing this for all seasons?
I never wear cardigans as tops but I need to start doing it because I love some of my cardigans so much but as a 50ish woman, I get too hot layering things right now. Great reminder!
Well put together, thank you. I would have loved to see the combinations on a model instead of just pictures. You could see the movement and fit goals. Lots of good tips, thanks for sharing.
I loved the video! So many good tips and tricks for us who have gotten rid of pants completely! One thing I realized that I haven't really noticed before (and I think it might be a key to better putting future capsules together for me), was that you said something like "this she can dress up for work or dress down for the weekend". But I have to do the opposite! I'm a preschool teacher and can't really dress up at work because I am often on the floor - playing with the kids, having circle time, helping them get boots on etc etc. But I love dresses and skirts, and they do have a tendency to look more formal. This is something I will keep pondering and working on... Thank you for the light bulb moment!
I’m a mom of 3 young kids. Wearing a jean jacket and casual shoes like white keds really help a dress look more casual. Also wearing midi length dresses and stretchy biker shorts underneath help with being on the floor with kids. I hope that helps!
Not sure if you have sorted your wardrobe dilema out the past couple of years but I can recommend stretchy jersey knee length skirts - inexpensive and practical for getting down on the floor with kids. Wear with thick denier tights in the winter. i have a denim jersey skirt that is a great casual look. Used to also have a black one and khaki one for work years ago.
💖💖💖 This blew my mind!!! You are a genius with this! I actually love dresses so much - and I am a Soft Autumn 🍂 , so I felt like you were speaking to me! Nearly two years ago I splurged on a high quality “Peruvian Connection” Sweater dress that I found second hand online (normally $200-300 but I got for $90) and it had the most incredible Aztec print in muted desert purples and browns. I wore it SO much in the winter, with lace up boots and hats. It was short sleeve, which I love, and I layered cardigans and sweaters over it. I also wore my jersey knit tee shirt dress (navy) every single week. I really benefited from this video. I wear dresses several times a week and I don’t know why I didn’t think to streamline a dress capsule wardrobe when it’s such a huge part of what I wear. 🤯
I love your tip regarding choosing a dress with a colourful pattern that compliments our skin tone/season. I am a winter ( like you!) and my new dress has a black background (which suits me) and a red and blue floral with some yellow (which is a colour not in my wardrobe colour palette).
I love your dress capsule! I first discovered layering with dresses when I was going overseas for three months. I always take a very limited capsule with me, usually 11-12 items plus a swimming costume, a scarf and 3 pairs of shoes. My standard holiday capsule always includes 2 casual dresses because they are more comfortable to wear in hot European summers but sometimes you just want to change things up and using a sweater, cardigan, t-shirt or shirt over the top of a dress adds several different looks so you don’t feel like you’re wearing the same thing every day.
I converted to an all dress wardrobe 12 years ago when I moved to AZ from ID. It’s hot, hot , and hot here! I’m disabled and use a wheelchair, plus I wear Prosthetic Gear on my legs! Dresses just made sense! Too hard to deal with pants, and too uncomfortable, and hot! I always loved dresses and skirts anyway! I choose Maxi Dresses because they have been my favorite since I got my first one in 1970 and they cover everything I want covered. I feel chic and elegant! I don’t have a capsule! I just buy and collect maxi dresses / caftans! Arizona being to hot I don’t need layers most of the time! I like wrap shawls to add warmth when needed! I also have a few jackets! I have plenty of jewelry and accessories to pair with them!
Awesome! All of my pants are too small right now and I refuse to buy more so I'm creating a capsule of only yoga leggings, dresses and jumpsuits. No buttons or zippers allowed. Thanks for the reminder that you can make dresses work in the winter too. I'm going to try tucking a sweater into a belt over a dress. 😘
If they’re too small, let them gooooo. No sense in seeing a bunch of stuff you can’t wear, it just makes us feel ‘inadequate’ first thing in the morning!

Almost all of my wardrobe was blue, black or other cool colours - so being a ruthless person, I now have almost nothing left! Have you seen the latest summer capsule video that went live last week? I feel like the trick with this is really in the accessories and the shoes, and maybe the cut of the pieces a little bit. What type of work do you do?

I wear sweater dresses under my dresses for extra warmth
I own two dresses , just in case the world burns down and I need a dress, otherwise I don't wear them. But I'm still watching:)
Would like to see a capsule done for someone who is a edgy/casual dresser but needs to try to be business casual.
I always feel like I lose myself at work.
Have you seen the latest summer capsule video that went live last week? I feel like the trick with this is really in the accessories and the shoes, and maybe the cut of the pieces a little bit. What type of work do you do?
@@vazq_Fernanda I work in long term care pharmacy. I don't deal with the public so I can dress more casually, but I always struggle with the fact that I want to look presentable, but be comfortable, Ill put on the business type clothing, look in the.mirror and always default back to a band t and jeans like a teenage boy. Lol i always have trouble with the femininity of women's clothing too, it's a struggle!
@@_inflection3209 I agree with you, comfort is KEEEEEY! I find dresses and jeans the most comfortable, but I make sure I'm accessorizing to make the outfit still look great.
❤
British perspective of the title-she does not wear underwear with dresses...
Dresses with matching belts are great if you're doing this 👍 Adds structure when you want, can wear it over a sweater, mix with neutral dresses to add color etc
I almost always wear dresses.. Occasionally skirts but I hate having to coordinate it with a top. Lol
Very cute fall capsule! Can you do a bright spring capsule wardrobe soon 🙏🏾?
For Spring coloring or Spring temperature? I think you mean coloring but I want to be sure!
@@vazq_Fernanda Sorry, yes I meant coloring 😄
Absolutely love this Fernanda!!
Thank you Jasmine! I’m so curious to know what your color season is.
@@vazq_Fernanda I am a warm spring!
@@jasminetyxo REALLY? I would have never guessed cause your wardrobe seems so cool toned. Do you like Spring colors?
