Man it's such a shame, I've lived in St Helens for like 12 years now and it was horrible seeing this place get worse every time I went to town, it used to always be so busy, they used to have the benches and the sweet stalls, I think was M&S was the first big shop to close there? To be fair a lot of people just used to walk through it as a shortcut 🤣🤣
@@FullPlaythroughs Aye, as much as I'm taking the mick in this video, I am sad to see it go. Wish they would've used the money to take better care of the place, rather than demolishing it. As for the M&S, I think I actually mention that in the video, about how we all just used it as a shortcut. I don't think I know anyone who actually shopped there, hahaha! :)
I'm in my 60s and have lived in St Helens all my life, even 12 years ago the place was on the way out. Parking charges finished the place off. You used to be able to park on the Range car park for free - nomore. I now do all my shopping and business elsewhere ( mainly Widnes where you can park for free). You can't even park free to use the town centre library anymore in St Helens. Anymore money the Council spend on doing up the town centre is just wasted money.
