This is a never-ending learning field. I mean granted, I have my master's degree in Security, Assurance and Digital forensics; however, the learning and sophistication of these threats are never ending.
Comodo's security isn't in the AV, it's in the sandboxing/hips, countless people in forums have shown this to be the case. It might not be detected, but if it's auto sandboxed (which it will) than it's effectively a kill on run, heck I personally can't recall any malware making it past Cruelsisters Comodo config.
My first line of defense: brain.exe Second line: windows defender is good enough if #1 isn't having a complete shutdown Third line: working backup on a different machine. I use bacula, open source but a bit finicky to set up. Backup saved me from my own stupidity more often (2) that from viruses (0) though. And no antivirus software in the world can protect you from being stupid. Bottom line: always have a backup and make sure you can actually use it.
I was under the impression Acronis was using the BitDefender Engine? Would love to see the administrative backend for us MSP managing it. Not the biggest fan of Gravity Zone.
making ransomware then demand money is wrong, but anyone thought about them ?? they are really genius person ,see how this ransomeware works in order to protect itself from detection
You just renamed the file with the .exe extension and it seemed to active itself. Or maybe did you executed the file and we didn't see it, and didn't hear it from your mic with mouse click ?
2:10 it's funny how Kaspersky detects it and ZoneAlarm doesn't I was told that ZoneAlarm licenses Kaspersky's signatures I would still love to see a test of ZoneAlarm antivirus and firewall.
Are hackers trustworthy enough to believe they will give you your accounts and data and everything back if you pay them. Like if they already stole my stuff I'm not going to give him money because I'm just going to think they're going to keep that and keep trying
if windows is smart.. if they lock the system and no one can access the files because it is encrypted by windows and anyone cannot access the system without a USB KEY..
8:25 Do you actually check and test your sponsors? I only ask, and yes it was years ago but doubt they changed as their support was always poor. Try setting up scheduling in Acronis, it's awful at least it was. I did a video on this years ago and the amount of times the schedules failed because it claimed it couldn't get access to a network drive that I could see it had full access to. I dumped it, been with Macrium Reflect ever since.
Hei Leo, If I remove any files extension for example file.pdf is rewritten as "file" only or file.exe or file.dll, ransomware may not encrypt the file. I have tried it already. Is it true for all ransomware? Fun fact it may cheap way to protect file.
Thank You for your big job! Can you answer, which 3 antivirus for windows server the most detected ransomware? Eset server security (file security) is a good choise?
I purchased Trend Micro security after watching all the threats on this channel a few years ago. I just don’t trust anything now! The Trend review on this channel showed that it was really good software, and I’ve stuck with it ever since.
OMG! 😵 I used to download all the DLL files from a cracked software called "all.dll" ☠ should i factory reset or format my pc for this reason? where else should i download dll files next time?
quick simple question does using Malwarebytes free for the scan and Kaspersky for the real-time protection is a good combination? (and defender as a backup why not)

Fully agree
Should I get Avira or Comodo?
@@علاويالاسدي-ي3ض Comodo, Avira is a very basic template of a AV
@@photlam9769 is Comodo still full of prompts or is it more user friendly now?
@@vsmh96 I am pretty sure but then again anything is better then Avira
When ransomware care more about user experience than government websites...
Comodo/Xcitium will catch this with their auto containment. Not to worried about comodo sigs not detecting malware. Great work tho Leo!
Any security changes in 22H2 of window's 11? I mean in Windows Defender
If you encrypt your drive, can they encrypt it again with ransomware ? Genuine question.
Yes
Microsoft itself detects this. (according to virustotal) So... even a computer out of the box is protected?
Idk

Are you serious? You must be very new to this channel.
@Dman B wdym by no antivirus is that good to protect your pc

10:01 will The akronis protect you from quantum ransomewhere ?
Hi, does anybody know why there is barely any mac antivirus for home with behaviour analysis?
How can I get a hold of a ransomware file for testing purposes in a VM?
I really like this channel. Great explanation & content 👍
Hey man i just downloader a malware on my dads laptop what angi virus should i use 😢
If you pay I am sure they will not give you the keys but just ignore or block your ass
This man's iq is over 500
Coupon code for Acronis doesn't work. :-(
Please make a video on Linux vs Malware

Great work! Thank you
for some reason i clicked on this video thinking it was ransomware built for quantum computers lol
still good video as always though
F-Secure uses Avira cloud + Signatures, so is still detected

His annoyance that f-secure doesn't detect the virus 😔 wants them to add it to their list

how can perform so good this acronis lel, they are not primary focused to AV, or yes?
It's very similar to the Egregor ransomware, at a first glance.
Cool screensaver
Please test Eset Smart Security Premium, The last test of eset was almost 3 years ago
Great Video.!
Your Voice is very sweet & Mature.!
What I learnt is that install Kaspersky and you can rest in peace.
Will Acronis work without conflicts with other AVAM that have anti-ransomware protection or is it a stand-alone product?
Oh seems need to protect my servers
You should test avs for false positives
Are you going to do a full review of acronis or just ads?

The man doth protest too much, methinks.
Meanwhile, what malware through yonder Windows breaks?
