I have a car I'd like some work like this done.. sadly it is a fading trend and a fading profession . You do badass work, keep it up keep it alive If you ever want to do a car for me let me know.
I tried my hand at pinstriping about 34 years ago, 44 y/o, but, even with a lot of practice, it wasn’t for me. I still amazed at the strippers abilities and patience. Sure it cost a good deal. What ever the strippers ask pay it, that is a fast dying art and so few want to try it. Great vlog, thanks for sharing.
I would dispute the dying art phrase ,I sure get thousands of people interested in this fantastic art form , I have brushes that actually make learning fun and not frustrate the people trying to learn , Mack has ruined the experience for many that tried to learn with the poor quality and design of their products, they can’t even copy my designs with any degree of success…
The paint i use is called 1shot .its enamel paint (oil based) ... there are other brands too ... just surf the interwebs and you will find tons of info ... hope this helps
@@malexpinstriping i think where i f up at is i spin it right after i lay it and brush on clear after I spin it im pretty sure I got to wait acouple hours before I spin it and put clear on right?
Here are my steps... i put down size (a thin pass) wait till size is ready then apply imitation gold or silver the spin the leaf right away then clear coat right away then wait till clear coat is dry and outline the silver leaf
Bad ass brotha!!
Thanks so much 🙏🏽

Thanks
Awesome work and I love bouncing souls.
Thanks so much
Can you share why kind of tape you are using and also the brand of the gold leaf . Thanks I’m advance.
The tape i use is 3M and i use imitation silver leaf (aluminum) hope this helps
Thank you
Thanks for clarifying the lead you use. I would think real Silver leaf would tarnish.
Looks awesome! What tool/material are you using to spin the leaf? Also, what did you use for size? Thanks!
Its a homemade tool and i use 1shot size
Sweet, is that like a 3000 grit sanding disk attached to your tool. I’ve tried that lately with good results but your spins look amazing.
@@thepinstriper sounds like you already know what you are doing
Wow...where did you get that super-steady hand for those incredible detailings ???!
Thanks!! I was born with it...🤣🤣 ... no really... just lots of practice
Nice work. If you don’t mind me asking what s the name of the material you use for the silver leaf
I want to learn how to pinstripe but I don't know where to buy the proper material. Also do you use automobile paint or will any paint do?

Can anyone help me my silver leaf keeps oxidizing and turns yellow and rusty I put clear coat over it but still happens
That's really weird, how long are you waiting to put the clear coat on? Also are you using imitation gold leaf?
